You think it's hilarious because it isn't happening to you. It doesn't affect you and it never will. It's a joke to you because you've never thought of trans women as people who have to deal with the effects of these hate campaigns. Someone else can probably word this more coherently, but fuck me it bothers me so fucking much to see these people who think they're such good "allies" just come out and admit that they don't see me as a person.
You find it funny when a cis woman gets transvestigated because you know she's a "real" woman. You wouldn't say a fucking word if it was me in her place. You would let the right come for me, you would let them pick the meat from my bones, and when my skeleton is left you would dance it through the streets with crocodile tears in your eyes saying "oh HOW could this have happened" for a day before you went right back to complaining about how people need to compromise more.
