And you will find them for me. From what I understand, that is your area of expertise.

November Annabella Terra - StarCraft II: Wings Of Liberty: Nova Covert Ops (2016)
[...] I knew [Valerian] before he was the Emperor... when he was only the Crown Prince, and his primary interest was artifacts. I joined his Moebius Foundation dreaming that I'd invent things to astound the sector... instead I destroyed my career. This is the only life I have left... the same as you.
-Reigel, StarCraft II Nova Covert Ops
I know this might be strange to say, but I feel like this short passage might be one of the saddest parts of the entire StarCraft II campaign, from WoL to NCO.
Because we KNOW. we KNOW that Reigel very well COULD have created wonders to astound the sector, to make people's lives better. If things had turned out differently. If Doctor Narud hadn't taken over Moebius. If the Hybrid hadn't mind-controlled his co-workers and used them as cannon fodder. If he had been allowed to work on civilian applications of the tech he was working on instead of military.
We KNOW this because throughout the Covert Ops campaign, we have SEEN what he is capable of. all the crazy things your men and vehicles can do is at least partially his doing.
I want to see a world where Reigel got to sit down and make his wonders.
I finally got around to playing the Nova Covert Ops missions in Starcraft 2. I had bought them way, way back but never actually played it.
I got reminded of the way Terran missions love the concept of "stay in one spot and HOLD it" which tickled my nostalgia a bit. Same with the difficulty.
I kinda wished there was more actual sneaking around as Nova, or waging asymmetrical warfare while AI allies control a large army.
I had fun.
