you guys have no idea how long it took me to post this, my internet is refusing to let me be.
ANYWAY
im aware of all the stuff that had been posted about the new chapter, even if im in the void i still can check some stuff, and im going to be clear in one thing
I dont care about the end, im not changing my interpretation of Poppy and the prototype parallels
i may add Lilly, i may add some details of the ARG, and i actually like the concept of the workers been on it for the hour of joy, BUUUUUT i refuse to consider any final that dont end up with this two been showcasted as the 2 face of the same coin.
is perfectly okay if ya dont think like me! and i dont mind what Mob do with the end cus at the end of the day is their game and their cooked in a lot of stuff
but for the lore i had been working for the past 3-almost-4 years, i had always mentalized Poppy and the prototype as the gray areas of their own side, they aren't fully good or fully bad, but their morals and perspective contradict each other and create that point were there is no ''good'' or ''bad'' guy, just a situation where everybody got hurt.
that nova for now, just a little question: i had planned a special Nightmare critters YCH for valentine, but as ya guys can see the day passed due me having some stuff irl stopping me.
So, i ask: do you guys would still want to see the YCHs? i would let them open till march 15th, so they would become a spring YCH
do you want to see them?
yeah!
nah
Voting ended onFeb 16
if everything goes right on my end, i should be posting some stuff next week, read ya all soon!

OKAY, TIME FOR THE SECOND ANALYSIS POST OF CHAPTER 4
this time, im tackling the most relevant figure (for me) on this chapter
Doey The Doughman
The experiment that was created using 3 kind of children.
Let go by each children first, and then im going to explain my views in Doey as a whole
The First child: Jack Ayers
This is one of those rare case where we can see the face of a experiment before becoming one, been just starting the chapter we see the homemade video of a christmas morning. And in there, our first victim.
The video is pretty good at showing us how Jack is as a whole, a energetic, happy and sweet kid that is clearly in love with Play.Co's toys, specifically Doey. he don't seems to be older that 10.
On the factory video, i dont support some youtubers saying that the parents were discussing or been toxic/having a unestable marriage, the mother just make a comment of ''he's not listening'' and the father goes ''yep''. That's typical tired parents of a hyperactive child.
I think the only thing i can scold them about is letting Jack been so far away from the group, doesn't matter if you can still see him, that platform look dangerous as fuck for a adult, i would hold my child's hand all the way till we have our feet on the ground again.
but for the last VHS, we known they were remorseful of that, but more on that later.
What we can see from this start, is that Jack wasn't planned as a experiment, at first, but probably Play.Co saw this incident as a good way to start the project Doey.
Now to the next child: Kevin Barnes
From this one we have a VHS, let see what it said about him
Kevin is stated to be a "problem child" by the Scientist. Kevin exhibited behavioral issues demonstrated within Playcare, which include problems getting along with others, showing aggressive and confrontational tendencies, and a combatative nature that even extended to the few friends he had, as he had attacked them in bouts of "intense play".
This issues seems to be related to ''neural abnormalities''
curious thing, this was in chapter 3 too, in the VHS 6. And due this new chapter we can think that Dr.Newman's was Joseph's dad, or the other doctor in this VHS. Maybe Joseph is going to be relevant later on?
Now let add the line of Doey during the last fight ''everything's too loud, too loud!''
And we have a sad revelation.
The year is 1993, and while Autism and neurodivergency had been a wellknown topic for decades, even into the early 2010's there was still wrong views about this, specially related to sensory overstimulation and how this could cause outbursts.
So, theres a big chance that kevin wasn't a problem child or even had anger issues, he was just a autism kid in the middle of a place that overstimulate him 24/7, not only with so many children around, but remember the constants tests and activities they make the children do to test if they could work as a experiment.
And this is also mentioned in Kevin's VHS, were it explain that he had passed all the test perfectly, something that could also hint to his neurodivergence state, since is wellknown that is more easy for a autism person to concentrate in a task or hiperfixate in archieve something compared to others.
his can also explain why Kevin also hurt accidentally those that he cared about aka his friends, 'cause sometimes you can also get overstimulated due happiness, so even in the middle of playing he could had end up having a outbursts simply 'cause he wasn't able to regulate his emotions in the moment.
There also the high posibility of him going untreated due Play.Co treating his issues as ''problem child behaviour'' and later on ''neuronal problems'' (this last part im not sure if they were using it as a false excuse to make the operation, or if they saw the problem and decided to put it on a experiment for some unknown reason).
Poor kid was never able to learn how to regulate his feelings 'cause nobody took seriously what was happening to him. This could also explain why he take the lead when The explotion happen, 'cause Doey isn't just sad, he's overstimulated over everthing that happened, he feel sadness, he feel rage, he feel fear, he feel too much. And this make Kevin lash, make him explote and work his feeling just like he always did before, with violence.
And now, the last child: Matthew Hallard
From this one, we didn't got a VHS, but a report, but it say more that you would expect
He is, in paper, the completly opposite of Kevin, he lack mental and physical abilities, but he compensate it with his wonderful personality and actittude, to the point of been considerate a dream child.
Both kids and employees liked him, and seems he was already clear in the fact that, by been 15 years old, nobody was going to adopt him, so probably a way of cope with that was try to make his new family the people around him now.
And probably, he didn't even had a year into Home Sweet Home, since Ms. Harper could see that he was still mourning the accident that make him loss his parents, we don't known what happened to them, but that a theory for another moment.
This next part tell you A LOT about how important was Matthew for the kids on home sweet home, becoming a kind of big brother for all of them, and the comment about Ms.Harper bringing him into staff make me think that the children that aren't selected to become a toy but age out in Home Sweet Home would become illegal staff/no payed labor, you know, to prevent this young adults from talking about what happen inside, really creepy thought that, once you enter play.co, you never leave.
Now, Project: Doey
The experiment started in 1993, probably not out of need but out of convenience (aka Jack falling in the dough machine). But unlike other experiment, they realized they couldn't have Jack as the center of Doey due him been a random child without the training to become a experiment.
To, here is where Kevin fit, Kevin had the training and abilities to perform as a wonderful experiment, his only problem been his personality.
So come to play Matthew, he was the last piece needed, a caring, sweet BUT insecure and not too smart child. Perfect to manipulate.
The reason Doey was a project on it own was 'cause they wanted to see if they could mix the needed traits of each child there, Jack been the base, Kevin the abilities, and Matthew the attictude.
It was a combination made in heaven, for a experiment made in hell.
But how would they ensure Jack and Matthew would keep Kevin down enough to been able to manipulate and use Doey as a functional BBI?
Easy: Guilt-
With Jack's parents VHS we saw that they killed two birds with one stone here: on one side you deal with the reamining witness of what happened (the parents), and in the other side scare enough two of the 3 kids (Jack for kill his parents, Matthew for his already existing guilt from not saving his family before) to force this two into keeping the aggresive personality down no matter what.
And this can even be see in Doey's last form, where even when kevin is taking control, you can see 4 of the 6 hands on his mouth trying to close it, that's Jack and Matthews desesperate attempts of preventing Keving from lash out.
if the Hour of Joy didn't happened 2 years later, im afraid what Play.Co could had created knowning how good of a result Doey was. They could had easily broke more children into quimeras like Doey, make more easy to manipulate toys, and the horrors would had been worse.
A kinda sad note for the end, but in the final moment, i disagree with the concept of been Matthew and Jack the one apologizing to the player at the end. It just don't seems right.
And then we have this dialogue before that
This is Kevin talking. And not about been good for play.co, but been better for his friends, been better for Matthew and Jack, been better as Doey.
Remember when i said that usually when a kid have a outburst, they later realize what they did and feel bad about it?
This is Kevin, apologizing to Matthew and Jack for explote again, for make things worse.
Doey died with the three children inside him feeling guilty for something that wasn't their fault.
just like the previous adopts, this one come with a special dinamic! they are going to incluye their own mini story (in a comic) writted based on what this kids thought for them!
there is also going to be a little drawing made by my little cousin, that wished to help me with this batch!
