SPOILERS FOR THE BNHA AND VIGILANTES MANGA (I'm gonna shout into the void about some things that happen in season 6, are happening in the manga right now and the Vigilantes finale so you've been warned)
...
How in heaven's name is Aizawa still alive? Let me elaborate on that. How has AFO not personally taken a wholeass day off to murder this man and this man specifically???
Let's dive into this. In Vigilantes we learn more deeply about Aizawa's past and how Shirakumo died. We learn that an abnormally large and powerful villain (that was somehow modified to be as huge as he appeared) was going rampant and causing a lot of damage close to where Aizawa and Shirakumo where having their internship. This incident leads to Shirakumo dying.
The thing is, in BNHA Mic and Garaki have a little chat after the former arrests the doctor. Garaki tells Mic something along the lines of "You were Kurogiri's friend right? We were after 'erasure' back then".
Honestly, props to Mic for not ending him right there and then for basically telling him "shame we didn't get your other friend's corpse". But that little chat confirms the plan that day was to kill Aizawa and nomufy him to have Erasure as an ability on their side (and probably be Shigaraki's caretaker as Kurogiri ended up being).
This means (even as a bit of a stretch) that AFO was aware of Aizawa's quirk and of what an asset it can be since his UA days.
And you, non Vigilantes reader, would think "oh but that doesn't mean he saw him as a nuisance". WELL, THINK AGAIN INNOCENT READER.
In Vigilantes' latest chapters (or sooner for those who knew) we find out that AFO has had a different student before Shigaraki: Number 6.
Not going deep into what happens in the finale Number 6 is the orchestrator of a big incident in Naruhata and Koichi (mc) stops him. Koichi surprises AFO for developing into a "super human" (which pisses him off) and winning against his student. After the fight, Aizawa (who also helped him during the fight) finds and gets him to the nearest hospital probably saving his life.
And you would think "well, that doesn't mean AFO knew Aizawa was there or that he interfered in his plan" but not only does AFO know and say his hero name upon Aizawa's arrival; he specifies that Eraserhead and Koichi can't get in the way of their plan (... yeah that wasn't a good prediction).
I don't have to also explain USJ, being class 1A's teacher and the many MANY times Aizawa's erasure has gotten in the way of AFO's or Shigaraki's plans. In the latest manga chapter AFO, again, calls him out BY NAME saying how he's a damn nuisance.
HOW AND WHY IS ERASER STILL ALIVE? Like I love him and he's my fave but, by all means, he should have been on AFO's black list for YEaRs.
Ps. Read Vigilantes if you haven't, it is very good.
HOW COULD I'VE BEEN SO INNOCENT MINDED!?!!?!!!!!!
When I watched The Final Frontier first I was just 12 or something like that and I missed this scene:
But why!?!!?!!!!!
thinking about sett and how he has a secret training regimen that involves wrestling with the wild beasts of ionia. to keep his strength and reflexes sharp, he ventures deep into the untamed forests, seeking out the most formidable creatures he can find. from grappling with ferocious vastayan tigers to testing his might against colossal rock golems, sett uses these intense encounters to push his limits far beyond what any normal training could achieve. this brutal routine not only sharpens his physical prowess but also feeds his insatiable appetite for challenge and domination, ensuring that he remains the undisputed boss of the fighting pits. these wild battles are a closely guarded secret, known only to a few of his most trusted confidants, as sett believes that revealing this part of his life would undermine the tranquillity of the woods... many would most likely try their luck there, too!
