Can only feel this silly o'clock, still awake situation is a knock on from actually crying in the nail shop, watching Borris, feeling like we are never going to be over this awful virus.. ..Food for thought, right!? So it's really poo we are not able to finally meet our lockdown babies, 1st a niece then a long awaited nephew🥺 ..I won't be dancing around the kitchen with my fave cooking partner (Mummyfing) trying to stop her getting a little giggly on sherry, while she is trying to stop me picking!!! ..No absolute chaos with the Christmas games, never fail to have us roaring with laughter, Nanny Mim feeling a little fragile from all the screaming! Then Mims fave card games, showing the kids how to gamble like a true hustler-being with pennies or pasta, ha! The kids love so much to play cards with the grown ups, all respecting our true Queen Mim👑 ..22yrs we have had these little traditions, scooping melon balls for Mims starter, Kev deciding he was having a bit of everything rather than just one choice. Pulling crackers and having to wear the silly hat, then the going round the table telling our rubbish jokes and trying to swap our shit toy for someone else's! The Christmas candle, the pressies saved for after dinner, making the whole day a little more exciting for the kids🎁 ..Then, the tea, again us in the kitchen, making homemade scotch eggs and sausage rolls, cheese dip, and somewhere, there is always a ton of profiteroles. The grand finale, our perfect Irish coffees! ...We have no choice but to give it all a swerve this year and it really really makes my heart sad! But, it's a tiny price to pay if it means we keep our precious loved ones, who are vulnerable, safe and healthy for many more special yet bonkers occasions to come. ..All this negativity at Christmas will not darken our rainbow. We will be zooming or on facetime most of the day with everyone, making the best of a shit situation, whilst having the reassurance we are doing this for our happy future. Unwound fingers grasp at mine as if I hold something worth reaching for. Given a look I've felt estrange too because attention is not one I've been used too, unless the feeling of living in a tight space consumes my body because I tried to shrink my self worth into a mold you endlessly tried to make me fit into. I thought I knew what love was but I've realized if you question something then realization is no more than the unpredictable future I thought I had all planned out. Kind of like when I go to grab someone hand and at first everything intertwined. Hand in hand and the last thing I always let go of is what I make promises with because I have faith when people let go that at the end they'll change there mind. I grow kinder in my heart each time everyone let's go. Like a broken clock the hands repeat themselves and each hand I hold onto doesn't feel any different and I'm starting to understand I need to learn a new pattern. A new person. A new type. My hands are ready to hold someone who wants to be held and my mind is ready to understand the one whose compacity is capable of listening. Knowing how much you can offer the right person is incredible painful when no one will give you the chance, and I cant wait for that day because they'll experience everything I've been waiting to give.
