When something so enormously amazing happens and suddenly erases all the negative stressy shit!!!! ..Have spent the last few weeks questioning my parenting, am I even doing a good job, felt very much like a massive failure!; Was convinced my daughter hates me and everytime I try and have a full conversation with her, explain my reason and try to help her see how the most important job I have is keeping my children safe and well, we end up in a huge arguement and she spends the next 3 days ignoring me!!!! Cried myself to sleep last night, told myself I would get my arse on the first parenting course I could find, woke up still in a rubbish space and no confidence at all! Then, this! My daughter comes running in, screaming with excitement, comes and holds my hand, biggest beaming smile, and shows me her acceptance for the college she was so sure she messed the interview for, to study A'Levels and start the next chapter of her life. There literally are no words to even try to express how full and happy my heart is! She is the most beautiful, clever, driven little minx and she is absolutely winning in all she sets her sights on! Now, sat here, rather than beat myself up with how bad I am, I only need to read this email and I know, she doesn't hate me, I haven't failed, and whatever our differences are, she will always be my precious first born. She made me a mummy and I will spend every second of every day raising her up and praising her for the queen she is. No credit taken, all her and her amazing gorgeous clever self!!!!! My girl, don't ever stop being you, for all the arguements, door slamming, back chat and 'no offence but....'
