It wasn't often that Camilla felt anything related to her lineage. Her mother, Pauline, would feel things all the time about shifts in the family, losses, births, but for Camilla it was rare. Maybe because she blocked it out, or because she just didn't want to, but things were different now. Her mother was gone, she was the last, that she knew, of her family. But here she was, feeling things. It was dark, some pain sweeping up the back of her neck and once it resonated in her head she nearly jumped to her feet, startling the infant at her side. A Bennett turned? Or died? Something wasn't right and for her to feel it meant she needed to act. She had felt something like this before, but didn't pay much attention to it. It was none of her business, but this-this was deeper than that, especially if it called to her like it did.
Moments felt like centuries as she sought out the Bennett in distress. Her curiosity had gotten the best of her and she could have easily turned away, but that pain wasn't something anyone could deal with alone. Camilla had dealt with it before and it would only eat away your humanity if you tried to fight without help. Darkness wasn't only for magic. It was for those who lost themselves and Camilla knew that first hand.
She called a sitter for her son, compelled to leave the house only in case of an emergency, never let anyone in, and the like. She wouldn't risk her sons life. Not when she didn't know what she was walking into. Camilla was led to her destination with ease and she looked around for the source, sighing deeply when she found it. The sight of a broken body, limp and lifeless, yet....alive. So she sat and waited, letting whatever was in her work. Her patience wouldn't wear thing, nor would it tire out, but there was more to the body before her. She had a reason to be here, but she just had to wait for it to wake up.
