Her bag was an endless black hole as she rummaged, pausing for a moment to remember what she was even searching for... Phone, right. Somehow she had ended up slunk against the cold brick wall of an apartment building on the wrong side of the city, probably dragged there in a haze as a feel good after-party that turned bad quick. Her thumb flicked up the blinding screen as she went through her contacts, stopping to hover over Elijah's name. Katerina pursed her lips in consideration, then clicked the name directly below his, knowing she couldn't bear the humiliation in choosing the former. "Nik," She nearly sobbed into the phone, accenting nicely how wrecked she felt. "It's probably late—" She had no idea of the actual hour. "But I... I can't get up." Her voice was pitiful with the realization. She closed her eyes and leaned her head back. "Please... please say you'll come take me away from this place." She murmured.
