-Lucas is an only child, his parents tried to have kids for many years, both of them wanting at least three but eventually gave up on trying. It was several years after that that they fell pregnant with Lucas. As a result, he’s been spoiled since birth. They showered him with anything he could possibly want and love him unconditionally.
-He’s always loved learning, his mother would take him to all sorts of museums growing up,history, art, science, he was like a sponge with the way he soaked up all the information. Despite his love of learning though, he did not want to go to hogwarts, he was more than a little bit of a mamas boy and the thought of leaving home for an extended amount of time did not sit right for him. It felt even crueler that it happened on his birthday of all days.
-Of course he went anyway and despite being as upset about leaving home for the term as he was, he still somehow managed to end up sorted into Gryffindor. Even in his 20s now, he doesn’t think the hat had it right.
-There isn’t a subject he doesn’t enjoy So much that when it came time to pick his major he struggled with it more than anything. He had gone back and forth for days between Muggle Studies and Ancient runes especially. He had been so fascinated with the career of a curse breaker since he was a young boy though, hearing the stories his uncle Oliver (aside from his parents, Lucas’ favorite family member) would tell about the cursed tombs in Egypt he had to break into would fascinate him. He hopes to do just that once he graduates.
-He has a greenhouse of magical plants back home that hes started with his mother, shes the only one he trusts to take proper care of them while he’s at school. He won’t even let his dad set foot near them.
-Ever since he got donut (cleverly named because he found him breaking into a package of mini ones that was in his families pantry) he has slept with him on his chest, he would happily let Donut stay in his cage at night but the rat does nothing but scream until he’s let out. Hes more needy than his owl by far.

BIOGRAPHY
David and Abigail Cattermole truly believed that the world became a brighter place when Nancy was born. Their eldest son, Reginald was their pride and joy, but Nancy? Nancy was their light. David and Abigail were older parents and having spent many years hoping for children, now that they were blessed with two, the Cattermole family was complete.
Reginald was a quiet boy, finding it a lot harder to come out of his shell in comparison with his younger sister, Nancy. Despite the two year age difference, as they grew older, Nancy found a way to push Reginald out of his comfort zone. She reassured him by taking his hand at a family function, or inviting him to play with their cousins. Nancy never struggled with socialising, finding immense comfort in the company of other people. A fond lover of storybooks, Nancy found herself looking at conversations like stories, each moment adding to the progression of the next chapter. Every new person as a new character.
While other parents may have snuffed out this spark, Nancy's parents elevated it. Supporting Nancy's creativity throughout her childhood. Academically, Nancy didn't hold much promise, but her curiosity was endless. Her love for novels, art, and music progressed over the years. Nancy found herself constantly seeking more, more depth, more meaning. More understanding of the world at her fingertips. It was this curiosity that saw her get sorted into Ravenclaw upon her arrival at Hogwarts.
Nancy fell into Hogwarts life easily, coasting through in her classes with average scores. But in Astronomy? Nancy's desperation to learn more about the world benefitted her, and her passion for Astrology was uncovered. The rest of the time? Hogwarts was a hoot. Parties, friends, and music. As the years progressed, Nancy found her heart in the people that she met at Hogwarts. Maybe too much heart, as in her seventh year, Nancy fell pregnant after a one night stand with Ludo Bagman.
Nancy liked Ludo, but they were nowhere near responsible enough to have a baby. They weren't even dating. So far, Nancy had lived only for herself, for what she enjoyed and what benefitted her. Her head was in the clouds, and with the positive result. She got pulled straight back down into reality. How was she supposed to tell her parents? Reginald? How was she supposed to raise a baby?
Her parents were disappointed, but eventually supportive. Reginald was angry, mainly with Ludo, but eventually upon Nigel's birth, he had came around. Nancy was filled with nerves and uncertainty for the duration of the pregnancy, mixed with the pressure of keeping up with school. All of that seemed to fade away when Nigel was born. The world seemed to have changed, and suddenly Nancy understood her parent's anecdotes of the world getting a little bit brighter when she was born. Nigel did that for Nancy.
Nancy was besotted with her son, and for the months following his birth, Nigel was her moon, sun, and stars. The pain of leaving him upon her return to Hogwarts was almost unbearable. Nancy felt numb for the first couple of weeks of being back at the castle, her only crutch the letters from Ludo and photographs. Nancy, while loving her son, felt a slight loss of identity, unable to establish between being Nigel's mother - and Nancy, the fun loving young woman. By the time Christmas rolled around, and Nancy reunited with Nigel for his first holiday season. Nancy felt that the balance between being a young mother and a young woman had been restored, the two identities didn't need to be separate, they could coincide in harmony.
Entering into her ninth year with Ludo also returning to Hogwarts. Nancy can't help but fret about Nigel. While she has full trust in both sets of grandparents, Nancy feels a sense of resentment about missing so many moments. Especially as the political climate becomes more treacherous, Nancy feels she can no longer live in her ignorance that everything is rosy.

Before Hogwarts
✦ Born March 19th, 1959 to Maryse and Victor Avery within the french residence of the Avery family just south of Paris within the countryside. Truth unknown to most other than those within the manor that day was that the mother of Selma was not Maryse at all. Maryse and Victor, having struggled with conceiving a child for some time, in their desperation selected a witch that met all the necessary criteria in order to keep the bloodline going.
✦ After Selma was born, the witch in question was taken care of or so they were told. Considering their secret is safe to this day, the family's never wasted a moment of thought on the matter.
✦ The first six years of her life were spent in France before her family moved back to England to settle in the Avery estate.
✦ Much like the other pureblood children she was put through lessons intended to raise her to fit the mold. Dance lessons, language lessons; anything to make her someone her family could be proud of.
✦ From the earliest moment possible that she was allowed to join the pureblood society and the events that came along with that, Selma's walked the path of the other children. At times her mind felt as though it was racing faster than the others but she got along with them just fine, coming to have her closest friends thanks to those meetings and parties and other events.
✦ By the time she turned eleven, the arrival of her Hogwarts letter couldn't come soon enough. There was a need to see the world and the school could offer her just that.
During Hogwarts
✦ From the very moment that the hat was placed upon her head it was clear she was a Ravenclaw. Even before that she'd had her thoughts on the matter, only to have them confirmed a moment later when the hat called out the house of the eagle.
✦ Selma wasted no time integrating herself and making friends. It seemed easy and she didn't mind to keep people company while she studied. Of course, there were her closest friends but that didn't mean she wasn't willing to reach out.
✦ Any time not spend studying would be spend discovering the magic of the world, being creative and letting things flow.
✦ It was the Christmas break of her first year that she found out about the truth of her family and out of fear of losing the ones she cares about has kept it ever since and instead focused even harder on appearing like the most normal person.
✦ From that moment on she's been walking through the world with eyes open, wanting to know what the differences all around were. While it was a slow progress, in the later years she's certainly found herself questioning things more often.
✦ When the time came to pick a major, Selma was torn between Alchemy and Transfiguration but eventually decided to focus on Transfiguration with charms, alchemy and arithmancy being additional classes taken to compliment her primary choice.
✦ Eventually, so she knows, her parents are going to find a match for her but until that time, she's not going to worry about things going a certain way beyond the usual worry of having to carry a legacy she doesn't feel to be her own.
✦ As per her family, for now she's siding with the Death Eaters although she has no intention of joining. Isn't she proof that such things are far from simple? Yet she cannot deny that her own family, despite the hypocrisy are part of the whole ordeal.
Future Plans
Over the years Selma has developed a need to live her own life. Even though she is prepared to fit into the mold prepared by her family from the moment they find her a match, she's grown up to be her own person. As an individual with dreams and hopes, the future she sees for herself sees her either working as an Alchemist or medi-witch, perhaps even a healer. Selma may have her creative streak, but she is very much hands on and ready to get done whatever she puts her mind to.

a complete mama's boy, rodolphus was doted on by his mother all throughout his childhood. his father, however, is a hard, severe man who less than often gave rodolphus the affection and attention he needed.
despite spending most of his time with his mother, rodolphus took these cues from his father and applied the same ones to his younger brother, rabastan. he often overlooked the other lestrange, especially when it came to getting positive affection from their mother.
rodolphus grew up somewhat abrasive and controlling towards other boys, though seemed to have some manners when it came to dealing with girls and women.
rather than make actual friends, most of the boys who hung/hang around rodolphus only do so because they either fear, or respect him. he has a very small group of friends (maybe one or two guys) that he considers actual friends.
his family was a respected one, so his name earned a lot of notoriety as he grew. growing up with money, power, and a well known face, rodolphus was able to easily zip through his childhood enjoying every little luxury it had to offer.
during his sixth year at hogwarts, rodolphus' father began to be involved in the dark arts and would take the young slytherin to a few meetings and demonstrations. this is where rodolphus first begins to learn the temptations of the dark side.
rodolphus begins a secret dark arts club in his seventh year, but the club is disbanded when somebody snitches. rodolphus is given a months suspension back home.
during this time, he spent his days studying with his father and honing his skills.
when rodolphus was nineteen years old, his father was sent to azkaban after performing an unforgivable curse, though he was never told which one it was. upon visiting his father for the first time at the prison, rodolphus was attacked by a dementor. he was recovered by his mothers patronus, and was never able to perform one since.
rodolphus has attended one death eater meeting, and considers this his crowning achievement thus far. he does not yet have the dark mark.

classic middle child and scapegoat for druella. nothing andromeda could do was ever good enough. she wasn't cutthroat like bellatrix nor was she the perfect baby of the family like narcissa.
a naturally sensitive girl who asked questions was quickly punished.
andromeda learned very quick that the best way to stay in her parents good graces was to be seen and not heard. suppress curiosity and empathy to stick to their image, even if it ate at her.
andromeda is still very much under the thumb of her parents and is still searching for validation from them.
she was still raised in a horrifically toxic environment and still from the same flesh and blood from her sisters, it's just harder for her not to feel bad whenever cruelty is involved.
she has an end goal of being a healer, even if her parents would prefer her to be a housewife. so, mildly more progressive than her family since she feels she could work and still, eventually, find a good pureblood boy and have a family.
