gave him a door handle the other day because of the magic ones that occasionally show up in the manga and now it’s his FAVORITE thing ever he looks at it all the time and earlier, i caught him drawing it in the sand and it took me a minute to figure out wtf he was doing because i forgot i gave it to him LMAO

then he gathered the biggest crowd i’ve seen (and maybe possible?) to tell them all about it

finishing up heartcatch! atm and decided to pull up tiermaker and rank my fully subjective opinions on which cures and seasons are my favorites to see how it changes over time lmao

added celeste to my tomodachi island and she immediately fell in love with byakuya after meeting him, then added kyoko and SHE immediately fell in love with celeste before she even actually met her 😭😭

updated tier lists to include both DokiDoki! and HappinessCharge!

finished happiness charge tonight and honestly really loved it - the main things really pulling it down were like the racist aspects of the international cures/some of the main cures outfit transformations. also just didn't like the outfit transformation part as much in general.

but the story itself was quite good and i loved the cures a lot, especially fortune and princess, and the way the fissure between them was handled. honey probably has my second favorite design of the four (after fortune) she just didn't have quite as much to her as the other two to push her up further. i've heard the plot of this season was difficult to follow and that it wasn't very obvious what was happening generally, but i found that to not really be true? the goal felt to mostly always be within sight even if what was happening at any given moment could be very random - that feels like more of a consequence of its era more than anything. 2014 feels like a year of peak random chaos in my mind.

megumi the main thing that i wasn't all about was the way her/blue/seiji were handled but it definitely could've been worse which is why she's at the top of her category lmao

as far as dokidoki, my memory is not as fresh but i really loved cure rosetta, every episode that focused on her tended to get very silly in a good way. sword as well, the part where she sings to regina sticks in my mind a lot. diamond was funny, i enjoyed the little karuta side plot (i was previously entirely unfamiliar with the game, wish it had come up more!) and her humor in general. heart as well, the pink leads can tend to get pushed down for me a bit as they can feel a bit samey and she was somewhat a victim of that, but i still loved her!

regarding cure ace, i really enjoyed her, i love her transformation, her attacks, and how the plot reconciles her existence, regina, etc. - i just wish she hadn't come in acting like such a bitch immediately cuz she's otherwise awesome lmao i love her

it's that time again - i finished smile this evening and added the girls to the tier list! all of them are pretty high up there - if march and beauty had slightly more development to their characters i feel like they both could've at least been the top of think about them day and night with peace but i loved them all and the season very much
