How does the Jinchuuriki and the Bijuus work on your NaruFox AU?

Sorry, I'm pretty sure you explained it somewhere, but I didn't understand yet:/

The shortest way I can explain the idea is that the bijuu are chakra. So in the NaruFox the animal clans can sometimes have a member be born with that special chakra. That translates into specific animals/mystic creatures (the fox clan has a nine tails fox, the cat clan have a two tailed cat and so on...)

By that logic, yes, there could be a dog bijuu from the Inuzuka or a deer one from the Nara, but in the timeline of events for the AU there hasn't been one born in these clans.

So what happens to Team Hebi/Taka in the NaruFox AU since Sasuke didn’t leave? Do they still interact with him or…

They are still friends and will work together in the future. Since they're all in konoha, and training mostly under Orochimaru, they'll have time to shine

in the narufox au, does kankuro have actual tanuki ears?

Sadly no... Those are a trait I gave particularly to Gaara in the clan because of his chakra reserves. And it's also why the Uzumakis all do have fox ears, since they all have a lot of chakra - and Naruto being a nine tails fox has even more.

Unless I missed something, do Ino and Choji’s clans have boar and butterfly traits, respectively?

They do in the manga. I take it you're referring to me not adding them to the animal clans in the NaruFox, but the Nara clan is the only of them actually shown to have contact with their theme animal in some way - having that sacred forest and developing medicines from deer body parts - like the other animal clans I used.

But honestly my thought process was basically that butterflies would make the Akimichi too close/similar to the Aburames so I decided to leave them out.

And for the Yamanaka I thought it'd be harder to include the actual animal traits to their (mostly Ino's) design. They also already have two "themes" (Mind Powers and Flowers) so adding Boars on top of that felt like too much. And in the end you can read it as the two clans adopting those animals in a way to show solidarity to the Naras in the story.

Diff person from the previous anon, but it got me thinking...what happens if two people form different animals clans have a child? Is one more dominant and other doesn't show cause it's recessive or is there incomplete dominance and both show. Like a hybrid

Hmmm I guess one of the parent is just gonna be luckier. I'd say it means one of them would be more dominant, and hybrids would be nearly impossible - I just don't love that idea.

But imagine ShikaTema for example, Shikadai would be born with deer traits, at random just Nara luck, but he then marries a non animal clan person and his child could still be born with tanuki traits from Temari, just weaker.
