ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear current members of New Reflections,

It is with much sadness we would hereby like to announce that unfortunately, and after many weeks of endless debate among us admins, we have come to the final decision of closing New Reflections’s doors once and for all; thus meaning the end of NR as a group roleplay. 

We hope you understand that this wasn’t exactly an easy decision for us, our reasoning for closing the roleplay mainly being it’s current activity level, our recent loss in members and personal reasons alike, and would hereby like to wish each and everyone of you guys all the best of luck and what are hopefully many happy new roleplaying experiences in the near future. 

If anyone still wishes to contact us and/or keep in touch, we will still be continuing our characters current storylines in a smaller setting on both Kurt and Blaine's accounts. 

Until we meet again. :)

Announcement → Cast Lists

After analyzing each audition, the cast lists of the two musicals being performed at both schools are as follows:

McKinley High School

Rachel Berry -- Roxie Hart

Blaine Anderson -- Billy Flynn

Jake Puckerman -- Amos Hart

Sugar Motta -- Mary Sunshine

Brittany Pierce -- Hunyak

Chicago will run from Friday, April 24 through Sunday, April 26, and production will start immediately.

Westerville South High School

Hunter Clarington -- Danny Zuko

Santana Lopez -- Sandy Olsson

Grease will run from Friday, April 11 — Sunday, April 13, and production will start immediately.

ADDITIONAL NOTE

If you wish for your character to participate in either of the shows at any capacity --even going as far as taking one of the remaining open roles-- simply message the main. Otherwise these positions will promptly be filled by NPCs.

Admin Note → Spring Musical (Deadline Extended!)

Due to popular demand, we have decided to further extend the final deadline for any and all audition solo paras for the upcoming spring musicals for the time being -- The final deadline now being Saturday, March 15. That said, we would hereby like to point out that all auditions will still have taken place last week, and also like to request for all players that currently still wish to audition for either Grease or Chicago to message the main as soon as possible in order for us to have a good grasp on who's still looking to participate in this particular group plot and who is not.

Admin Note → Spring Musical

As mentioned in this week's review, Westerville High's and McKinley's musicals are right around the corner. With that in mind, auditions for the main roles in both shows (Grease and Chicago, respectively) will take place during this week.

Auditions will be played out through self paras to be posted until next Sunday (March 9) using the nrwprompt tag and should be at last two paragraphs long, meaning that it won't be required for them to be too long. Don't forget that we value quality over quantity. As for the contents of the self para, each player is free to choose how they go about it just as long as they include the following aspects:

Clearly state the role your character is auditioning for and which song they will be using

All auditions will take place in each school's respective auditoriums

The casts of each show will be announced on the following day and production will kick off as soon as possible. If you have any questions regarding this or anything else, don't hesitate to contact the admins!

Admin Note → Plots

As admins, In order for us to be fully aware of what's happening or will happen in the future within the group, we urge you all to follow what is clearly stated in the rules which consists in consulting or contacting the admins when taking on a more dramatic or bigger storyline involving your character.

On top of it being in the roleplay's rules-- as much as we may try to keep up, it's nearly impossible to not miss posts and certain aspects can still eventually go unexplained or occurrences might end up getting mixed up, or even repeated. In addition, we also urge you all to tackle plots and how they're played out as realistically as possible.

This isn't an attempt to limit any of you in any way but it's important that everyone respects this, as well as the remaining rules of the group, otherwise things may eventually get out of hand, something that I believe none of us wants to see happening.

Admin Note → Attention All Seniors!

In order for us to figure out and finalize our future plans for our characters currently finding themselves in their senior year of high school, we would hereby like to request for all current high school seniors to submit the following information to the main as soon as possible:

Your character's post-graduation plans (summer);

Whether your character will be attending college, if so; which city and which college (and possible major);

Your character's future living arrangements (still at home, dorms, off-campus housing).

While we understand that not everyone has all of the above things completely figured out or finalized yet (and things are always subject to change), we do encourage all senior players to at least submit a rough draft or outline of where they think their character will be headed post-graduation and high school.

Admin Note → Activity

Belated happy Christmas! To those who celebrated it, we hope you had a wonderful time and to those who didn’t, well, we hope you had a great day anyway.

Due to the holidays and real life keeping most of us very busy over the past few days, we didn’t track activity or did activity checks so that everyone could enjoy celebrating this time of the year without worrying about your role being opened. That being said, we are once again tracking activity as of today, in hopes that our dashes will become a little more active from now on. We are aware of the proximity of New Year’s Eve and if you are planning on going away for any number of days, simply message us about it.

Keep in mind that in any roleplay, activity is key. As stated in the rules, everyone needs to be active and post often for the group to work. We urge you all to try your best and interact with everyone without forgetting the Starter Guidelines (that can once again be found below). After three days of unexplained inactivity, the player will receive a warning and if activity is not restored within 24 hours, the role will be reopened. The only exception being the players on approved hiatus, which can be requested by messaging the main page, specifying why and for how long you will be gone. If you do not contact the main after your hiatus expires to either restore your activity or renew your hiatus, you will also receive a warning and the role will be reopened 24 hours later if no posts are made.

Starter Guidelines 

Track nrstarter on a daily or regular basis;

Post at least two or three starter posts every week;

Reply to at least one starter post whenever you are online;

Reply to at least two starter posts after posting your own starter using the nrstarter tag.
