The NS-10 journey: PART 2! For those who aren’t familiar, the NS-10s are the white-cones speakers in this video. Cool, let’s get into it! 👇🏻 - 🔊 After first acquiring the speakers (from the studio vault of sorts), I found a proper amplifier and hooked them all up. - 🛑 Now, if you’re about to say they’re not placed correctly, I’m gonna stop you right there! I already know I don’t have them in an ideal position. I’m working on it. I only had a certain amount of space available on that top shelf, and quite honestly, I was just excited to get them playing music at all, so forgive me. - 🗣So, after taking with Bill, the chief engineer, about the setup, we devised a setup that allows me to use both monitors with the mixer interface on the desk and switch between each device. The answer: The Mackie Big Knob! - 🎛 That awesome piece of gear is now in the center of the desk behind the keyboard and manages gain staging and switches between the set of monitors.
