What to do with the NSA? An idea for Obama
A bit of a crazy idea, I must admit, but since this issue already falls on the realm of abnormality they may as well do some business with it: why discard that immense amount of information from world citizens, when you can set up a premium service and create a fantastic planetary business?
Moreover in these days, when all governments are craving for money and crazy about ways of taxing, I can think of a great, and most of all, “honest” idea on how they can take our money.
I imagine a universal meta data service, where for a monthly fee you get a login and, just like that, access to all your communications: mails, phone calls, social media, dropbox files, etc... no doubt it would be useful.
Now to the premium services “pay extra and gain access to your couple, friends and even your bosses´ info!” Alright! Who wouldn't want that! I can see the worldwide jokes coming already: it is not fare that only Obama gets to know what Merkel is saying, though he is now more interested in another blonde prime minister...
It would be a shame to destroy all that good and useful data that may so greatly contribute to universal understanding and peace.
I say to Obama, think about it; as the supreme intelligence act he should hire Snowden as Chief Marketing Officer for the product, he has already demonstrated a brutal communication capacity so he will do a great job: of course, he will telework from Russia or any other very democratic country that he moves to.
I got the claim: “NSA, spying for you”.
There would be collateral damage (say, the detective agencies) but collateral damage where never a big concern, not even human lives, so I don't think a few unemployed “Inspector Gadget” will be an issue face to the wealth that the business will generate for Goldman or JP Morgan, sure stakeholders of the prime business.
They could no doubt become Facebook or Google's competition, or I say more, they could all three merge; I am sure the stocks would rise and rise, which next to the morning coffee is the most important thing in life, right? It'd be worth billions! Obama, this is once in a life time opportunity for you, go for it!
