“Then do you admit that was an indirect kiss just now?” “Yeah...” You answered, mind out of focus before you saw Wonwoo leaned closer to you and registered what he just said. “No! I mean-” You stuttered at your words, a small smile forming on Wonwoo’s face as your face flushed red. "Oh boy, I should really start labelling boxes- hey Y/N, what's up?" Mrs. Bosa comes out with a couple bags of lids, you flinched, straighten your back, trying to look normal. "Mr. Bosa wanted one more person to try the choux filling." Wonwoo resumed to his task. It felt like you were the only one feeling suffocated. You excused yourself and rushed back into the kitchen. "Is she alright? Her face is really red." "Probably been in the kitchen for too long." Wonwoo assumed before continuing to washing the remaining dishes.
*Ding* Mr. Bosa carefully took out to trays to cool down the baked good before decorating. You learned against the counter, looking out the pass-through wall, as the late afternoon sun shined into the store and bakery. "It's very tiresome, isn't it?" Mr. Bosa appears beside you, sipping his water. "It's a lot more work than I expected. I can't believe you normally make all these pastries yourself." You were amazed by Mr. Bosa's skill and passion for baking. "But then again, there's something satisfying about seeing the finish product. All your tiredness just melts away." You turned to smile at him, catching him off guard before he chuckled, looking at Wonwoo and his wife busily working. "That smile, it reminded me of my wife back when we were younger." He spoke out loud. "You might think 'Wow, her and I must've been this lovey dovey since the beginning' but before we dated, our relationship was just like yours and Wonwoo." You were surprised from his past with Mrs. Bosa. "It's a little hard to believe, but Mrs. Bosa and I just to quarrel over the smallest things, just like the two of you." Your face blushes from the embarrassing comparison. "But looking back now, all those arguments and bickering only gotten us closer." "How so?" "The distance from arguments somehow turns into longing for one another." You tilted your head, not really understanding what he was trying to say. "No matter how mad you are at them, you end up finding every excuse to be close to them once again."
"My my, is my husband giving relationship advice to Y/N? What a surprise." Mrs. Bosa and Wonwoo walked into the kitchen, as you walked over to her. "Your husband can be really sentimental. It's a little scary." You pointed at him before he pouted, running over to his wife. "What do you mean?! I was only reminiscing how her relationship with Wonwoo reminded me of ours back then." He explained himself as silence fills the air, no one willing to response to his comment. "*ahem* well, come on Y/N, I think the pastries are cooled down, lets start decorating." "Let us help as well." Wonwoo rolled up his sleeve. 'How can he look this attractive doing the simplest things?' you shook your head from such silly thoughts. "We're finished with the drinks." "What about the store?" "I decided to close the store, knowing the extra hands can help speed up the remaining process."

"Alright for the choux filling, try not to make too big of a hole at the bottom. I'll do the chocolate oreo, Mrs. Bosa will do matcha red bean and you and Wonwoo can do the sakura strawberry. After that we'll be done!" Mr. Bosa's voice was full of energy, trying to energize the room for that extra push. You took out the filling, walking over to Wonwoo. He glances over at you and saw your sleeve was slowly falling, but you were too busy on looking for the pipping bag and tips to notice. Reaching across from him to take the tips, you froze when his fingers brushes over forearm, helping you roll up the fallen sleeve. "T-Thanks." You quietly said, pulling back your arm and turn away, trying your best to calm your racing heart. The married couple saw your interactions and gave each other a smirk before laughing to themselves. For the remaining of the time, the both of your worked in peace and quiet. You filled the choux with cream and he decorated the top. "There." You piped the last one, holding it up to admire how pretty it looked. You transferred the decorated choux into a box, before helping to load it into the van. "Thank you so much for you help today guys. Without you, we wouldn't have been able to complete this order in time." Mrs. Bosa sincerely thank you guys as you shook your head, telling her that it's what employees are suppose to do. "We'll be heading over to the venue to deliver the order, would you guys like to come?" You glanced over at Wonwoo, seeing him nod before you hesitantly followed. The two of your sat in the back as Mr. Bosa started the engine, driving to the destination. Your eyes wandered out the evening streets as it started to get more and more crowded. Glimpsing over, Wonwoo was dozed off, head slightly bobbing from the bumpy roads. As the car came to a stop at the red light, you felt weight on your shoulder. Turning to look, Wonwoo's head was resting on your shoulder. He adjusted his posture a bit in his sleep, snuggling closer into your shoulder as you tensed up, feeling the strands of his hair brush against your neck.
"Looks like Wonwoo is wiped out from work today." Mrs. Bosa teased as she looked at the rear mirror. You were too embarrassed to answer, looking out the window with panicked eyes. As the ride went on, your eyes started getting heavier and heavier and before you knew it, you drifted off into a light nap, your head resting on top of his. *click click* your brows furrowed from slowly waken from your nap, your eyes still heavy from sleep. "We must take pictures as evidence." "If we just told them, they'll never believe us." "If only the fans could see this. I'm going to keep this picture forever." You blinked a couple of times as your eyesight came to focus on the couple this phone out, snapping a pictures. You lifted your head, covering your mouth as you yawn before you looked over, seeing the tall male's head still onto of your shoulder. You register what was going on before you covered your face, look away from the camera. "Psst, Wonwoo." You tried nudging your shoulder but he remain unbothered, deep in sleep. "Wonwoo, you should really wake up." You continued on nudging your shoulder before he moved, waking up from his sleep. He rubbed his eyes, head still on your shoulder as he opened his eyes. "Lift your head." you whisper-shout. "Why are you covering your face?" He asked, still a little groggy. He stared at the cameras before realization hits, as he followed your actions. "Mr. Bosa! Mrs. Bosa! Just what are you doing?!" "Capturing this sweet moment for you guys. You can thank us later." She winked before getting of the car, opening the trunk.
"I think it's safer if you guys wore masks, there's a lot of people so the chances of you being recognized will be high." Mr. Bosa gave you face masks before stepping out to help. You out got and headed to the trunk, carefully carrying a box of pastries as Wonwoo took the drinks. You guys entered through the main doors of the venue, seeing people dressed in elegant dresses and suits. The room was lit brightly from the diamond chandelier and chatter along with band music could be heard. You headed over to the table where a whole feast was served. "Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Bosa! What a pleasant surprise! I thought you'll be arriving a bit later." A young man approaches with a glass of wine. "We prepared everything earlier so we thought it'll be good to send them early. I apologize if it's too earlier." "No no! Not at all! I should be the one apologize for sending such a late notice for such a big order." "It's all thanks to my two assistants." You bowed as he stared at both your faces for a second, switching his attention back to the owners. "Thank you so much for everything. Ah, this is my fiancée." He snakes his hand around the fiancée's waist, exchanging sweet smiles. "Congratulations on your engagement!" Mrs. Bosa wrapped her hands around the fiancée's. "He's surely a keeper." Feeling awkward, you and Wonwoo stared at the floor, not knowing how to react. "Would you guys like to stay for a bit? We just started serving the food." A staff appears before him, holding a stack of plates.
---
You were seated with a group of what seemed to be the fiancé and fiancée's family members. Mr. Bosa and Mrs. Bosa has already started to munch away on their plate of food. You and Wonwoo has yet to remove your masks. You glanced over at him, as he stared at the table. "Enjoy the food, don't be shy!" The father of one of their families mentioned, seeing your still-masked faces. You fidgeted with your fingers under the table, trying to find a way to explain your situation. Mrs. Bosa seemed to take note of the situation and takes charge. "Ah, they're leaving in a bit so they're just going to wait for their ride." she explains on your behalf. "You guys should still eat while you wait. The food is too good to miss out!" "The food is really delicious." Mr. Bosa whispered to Wonwoo. He hesitated a bit before slowly taking off his mask. You followed his movements, peeking to see the others' reactions. They didn't seem to recognize the two of you as they smiled and returned back to eating. You stood up, walking over to get a plate before scanning the endless table of dishes. You were too nervous on people recognize you that you couldn't even decide on what to eat. Returning back to your spot, your plate only had a couple of things. You nibbled at the food, observing the lively and blissful environment. Everyone was happily enjoying themselves. You eyes travelled at the buffet table where Wonwoo was getting food. Around him were a couple people, glancing at him before turning to whisper with surprised expression. He sets his plate down, taking a set next to you before taking a sip of his glass. "Y/N." He called, looking down at his lap. "Yes?" "Wait for my cue." You placed your drink down, confused by what he said. Just then, a group of females from the table across screamed. "OH MY GOSH IS THAT WONWOO FROM SEVENTEEN?" You flinched at their loudness as the whole room had their eyes on your table. "ISN'T THAT Y/N FROM EUNOIA AS WELL?" Another group of people from the side stood up. They all started to rush your table, pulling out their phones.
"Now!" He grabbed you hand, before taking off, trying to dodge the crowd of people chasing the two of you down. You didn't have time to comprehend what was going on and only ran to keep up with his pace. He ran out the venue doors, eyes wondering around as nearby people stared at your two would just busted out venue doors like a runaway couple. You glance back to see the mass of people push through the doors, unconsciously tugging onto his shirt has he turn back before pulling you down the streets. Passersby turned back at the two of you as you ran as fast as you can. The distance between you and Wonwoo started to increase. You squeezed his hand, in hopes he would notice and slow down. He looks back at you, slowly his strides before his lips curved up into a sweet smile. The wind was perfectly blowing through his hair, his eyes slightly squinted as he smiled. You didn't know the meaning of his smile meant but that was enough for you to finally come to a conclusion.
'I like Wonwoo. I really like Wonwoo.' Your eyes sparkled. You beamed in return, feeling somewhat bittersweet at this moment.
---
Wonwoo saw you stand up and headed over to the buffet table, keeping your head low along the way. You returned back with only a couple of pieces of food on your plate. Making his way to the buffet, he made sure to get two portions of whatever he got. His eyes travelled to the dish in front of him, then to the table in front where he caught a couple of people staring at him before whispering. Feeling a little anxious, Wonwoo quickly returns back to his seat, gulping down half his drinks. "Y/N." His tone was serious. He quickly thought of a plan on how to escape. "Yes?" He noticed your tensed voice. You must've caught on. "Now!" He stood up and grabbed your hand, pulling you as he dodged the group of people trying to get a hold of you two. His original plan was to head into a vacant venue room but right when you left the venue doors, the main hall was filled with people from a different venue. They all seemed to recognize the two of you instantly, joining in the group of people as Wonwoo had no other choice but to run out the building doors. He looked in both directions, trying to familiarize himself with the surrounding and streets. He felt a light tug on the back of his shirt. He looked over his shoulder, seeing your alarmed face as the crowd of people fought through the doors. With your hands still intertwined, he pulled you down the street, not caring if passersby looked back at two of you as he sprinted down. Suddenly, he felt you squeeze his hand. Turning back, he noticed that you were struggling to catch up. Slowly his strides, he matched your pace. For some reason, he couldn't help but to smile. His heart almost jumped out of his chest when he saw you beam in return. The street nights were perfectly shining down on your face as the evening blew through your hair, flowing effortless as you ran. He was getting exhausted from running but everything started to finally make sense to him.
'I like Y/N. I really like Y/N.'
---
After finally losing the mass of people, you and Wonwoo found yourself at a garden park in the neighborhood. The two of you collapsed by a nearby bench, panting as you tried to catch your breaths. Glimpsing over at one another, you both broke in laughter. "What was that?" You chuckled, still out of breath. "I felt like I was in a thief chase just now." He wiped off the sweat from the side of his face, looking up at the sky. As your breaths returned to normal, you quietly sat beside him, feeling the awkward silence spread through the air. You looked around the area, seeing a variety of plants and flowers. "I didn't know there'll be a garden park around here." You shifted your body to view the nearby flowers from your seat. Even though it was dark, the streetlight was bright enough for you to admire them. "I'll call my manager to pick us up." Wonwoo stood up, about to pull out his phone when you stopped him. "W-Wait." You got a hold of his wrist. You stood up as he turned to face you. "I... I have something to say." Wonwoo had a feeling on what you were going to say, feeling heartbroken that he realized his feelings too late. You avoided his eyes, dragging on the suffocating silence.
"What is it, Y/N." He was starting to get frustrated with you. The longer the silence was, the more heartbroken he got. "If you want to tell me about your relationship, I don't want to hear your bullshit." Your eyes shot up to his from his what he said. "No! That's not what I wanted to say. Please just list-" "Then what? If you're trying to explain yourself from that day, save your breath. I don't want to hear it." You were lost at words from what you were hearing from him. One minute, he had your heart fluttering and now, he's tearing your heart into pieces. "I'll never forgive what you did that day. The nerve you have to drag my manager into that just for the benefit of your problems?" He turned his back against you. You felt a lump of your throat, preventing yourself from stopping him. "I think it's best if either one of us leaves the cafe. In fact, I'll leave voluntarily. I don't want to get involved in any problems around you and your-" "Stop it!" You shouted. Your eyes were flooded with tears. He halted at his steps as he was about to walk away from you. "Why..." You couldn't stop your shaking voice. "Why do you have to say such awful words about me when you don't even know the full story?" You balled your fists, feeling the tears stream down your cheeks. "Why do you always do this to me? One minute, you make my heart glow and the next, you tear it down into pieces. Do you think I like being played like this?" He turns around to face your dishearten expression. His heart shattered seeing that he made you cry.
"I'm tired of this Wonwoo. I don't want to do this anymore. Even when you push my feelings aside, I'll always find myself coming back no matter what. But now you've shown me your true colors. You've shown me how meaningless I am to you. I should've realized earlier." You looked at him through your glossy eyes, feeling nothing but pain in your heart. Turning your heel, Wonwoo firmly grips your arm. "Let go, Wonwoo." "No." "I said let go!" You attempted to break off his hold. "What more do you want from me, Wonwoo? What more do you want to ruin from me? Are you happy now that you see me at my lowest?" You cried before he pulled you as your back hits his chest. "Look, Y/N. I am so sorry I made it look like that in your eyes." His voice softens, but his grasp around your arm was still tight. You scoffed, not believing his words. "I am really sorry for saying such rude words about you. I hope you can take my apology seriously." He patiently waited for you to calm down for your reply.
"Then why are you toying with my feelings?" You questioned, turning to face him. "Why do you push my away yet appear when I need you the most?" Tear started falling as you hit his chest. He let you let out your frustration on him because he finally understands you feelings and feels guilty for it. "Y/N." He gets a hold of your wrists. "I am really really sorry for all those times I hurt you. I couldn't sort my feelings and just let my emotions take over. It was really ridiculous of me to do and you have every right to feel angry at me." You sniffled, rolling your eyes.
"Well, once you come to realize your feelings, you better let Y/N know before it's too late." He called Minghao advising him one night during their chats. 'I need to let Y/N know. Even if she doesn't feel the same.'
"But you are not meaningless to me, Y/N. At first, I didn't know why I would get annoyed over the smallest things about you but as time went by, I found myself wanting to be by your side no matter what. I wanted to be the shoulder you leaned on when you're going through hardships. I wanted to be that person who you share all your laughers and and cries to. But, in return, you were only suffering because of me." He loosened his grip and hides his face in his hands, feeling disappointed at himself. Your mouth fell open from finally hearing his true words, but you couldn't trust the warming feeling in your chest. Not just yet. "That day, I rushed to the company because those pictures you saw... it was with my manager. It was a groundless rumor that the reports made which caused lots of stress and problems on him. I rushed over to clarify those rumors. The statement is set to be released today." You explained yourself as he dropped his hands, coming to a realization that he had it wrong all along. He looks away from embarrassment as you let out a soft chuckle. "Even though everything was cleared up, I was really brokenhearted that day." You confessed. "I was too." He looked down at you. You tilted your head in confusion. "You too? Why's that?" "What about you?"
"Because I like you." You both blurted out at the same time to only look at each other with rounded eyes and jaws dropped. You stepped back, not believing what you just heard. You hid your face behind your hands from your flushed face before he took them and intertwined them with his, leaning down to your eye level. "I like you Y/N. I really like you." He softly confessed, your heart pounding from his face inches away from yours. "I will never hurt you again. Never. I promise you that." You noticed the tips of his ears turning red "You better not. I took me long enough to realize. these feelings" You playfully punched his chest. He pulled you into his warm embrace as you looked up at his twinkled eyes, feeling his racing heart. He brushed the hairs off your face, his thumb caressing your tear soaked cheeks. He slowly inched closer, your eyes fluttering close.
His phone suddenly rang, breaking the two of you part as he quickly picked up the call. "Hello? Yes. Ah," he looks over at you. "yes, she's with me." You felt your cheeks warm up from that sentence with new meaning. "Oh, alright. Yes, I'll let you know. Bye." He hangs up the call, letting out a sigh. "Is something wrong?" "Mr. Bosa contacted our managers but they're both out drinking at the moment." He looks to the side, feeling his face redden. "My manager called to tell us to walk home together." Your face mirrors his color as the two of you awkwardly stood until you extended your hand out to him. "Well then, let's go home?" He shook his head, grinning and intertwined his fingers with yours.
