Thoughts on New Zealand's NTM C3

Random? Yes I know but this was a request for someone, aka they wouldn't shut the fuck up about how horrible this cycle is, aka Sherry (love you). So you may wonder, why do Sherry (and I) hate this cycle? It's the successor to NZNTM C2, which if you guys have seen antmrankingskd's review on it, you know it's a pretty high quality cycle all things considered. It produced 2 really good runner ups, a dramatic icon that is Dakota and Danielle, one of the most successful Maoi models and generally one of the most successful from NTM, only recently retiring.

So why the long rant, why explain the cycle in detail and why even do this? Because friends, this is what I considered the biggest downgrade in any show really. We went from the high quality to decent cast of the second cycle (I haven't seen the first yet but it seems eeh) to a bad cast and really shitty cheap photoshoots and let's not ignore the favoritism for the winner and the multiple models robbed for the likes of Izzy, Brigette, and Amber.

Oh yeah, Brigette our winner. I expected a lot of her considering how much the judges loved her and RBG eats her shit up. Seriously, before looking at the cycle, I was spoiled by the winner so I wondered "Hey, she could live up to Dani could she?". She quit after the show and hasn't been seen since 2010, yeahh, it's those cycles where the winners are pushed to hell and then never purse modeling because their heart wasn't in it.

My biggest problem with Brigette was her face. Clearly, she's a beautiful girl as you can tell here. But 1) she's resting on her pretty and 2) she looks drugged. In every one of her shots, there's no energy, she looks tired and sick and yet the judges loved it and ate that shit up like it was dinner for days. In every fucking shot, she looks so dead and tired which is a shame since she was so beautiful in motion.

Actually, that's my problem with this cast, they were just all weak, especially my winner pick, I never was obsessed with her, she was just my last resort since everyone else sucked

Key Models:

- Bianca is my personal choice even if she wasn't the best, she was very over the top at times and looked off in photos but at least she was giving changes and chances in set besides being pretty and boring

- Rosanagh AAAAH HER FACE IS JUST MAGIC BUT SHE WAS SO MEDROICE. In every shot, she's beautiful but just boring. I wanted her to do good but she never was great but just fine.

- AJ was really robbed in my opinion. She had such a crappy attitude but she was just amazing in photograph. I really would've loved to seen her at final 4.

- Amber started off amazing but then she just went down and down. She was one of the worst of the cycle and it was painful to watch her go by week by week.

- Aroha's elimination was just cruel, they eliminated her because she was wearing PJs to the plane as a challenge that they never told them? What BS. She was a decent model and far better than most of the final 7, fucking bullshit

This shot is just hot and Bianca just looks like a total badass here. However, like C3 of AsNTM, it was hard to choose a top photo since I didn't care about most of them.

Funny how the worst model of the group is still modeling, fun fact but as a model in the show, she sucked frankly. The fact that she made final 4 is a joke. She was the Katarina of the cycle, stiff and uncomfortable to look at

Overall Thoughts

Really disappointing cycle after the awesomeness of C2, I expected better from New Zealand and the fact that the show got canned after this says something, sad shit man. At least Dani carried them well but Blahgette and Crisonope did not impress in general

Poland's Next Top Model Cycle 11 Cast Thoughts!

While I get my life under control (sorry for the slow updates on FNTM, my life went to the fucking ground the past few weeks and I've been too busy to do much), I might as well do my personal thoughts on the new PNTM cycle and make some sort of filler posts (regular posts should come back around next week, but no more BTS stuff since my internet basically went to the ground)

Adrian: I actually don't hate him, people weren't a fan of his look but I think he brings some nice needed diversity in the cast, his preshow works were also very promising as well!

Adriana: She's one of my favorites! Her pre show work does scream of catfish but this promo is really stunning, not to mention that she's trans! I hope she gets long hair as a makeover

Ola: Our golden ticket of the cycle and everyone's favorite, for a good reason. I really like her eyes but she might lead into the psycho eyes too much.

Boris: The male models this cycle aren't the best and Boris is a good indicator of that. He does not look 19 and I'm not the biggest fan of his face because of the hair, I hope it gets shaved off

Filip: And my favorite male model of the cast! He has a really cute boyish look to him alongside being one of our few Ukrainian models that applied this year! I hope he does well.

Karolina: Honestly, she's quite bland. She might grow on me over time but for now, she gives off first boot vibes.

Klaudia: I actually like her a lot in this promo but pre show, she was one of my least favorites. Hopefully she proves me wrong.

Krystian: He is a fucking meme right now on the forums and while I used to hate him, I think this promo is really good, like one of the best of the bunch. I like the slicked back hair on him, so he's grown a bit on me and while he's still not good, he's definitely up there with Filip.

Maciej: He straight up creeps me out, his baby face does not match the body and my simple brain can not handle that.

Marcelina: I like how pinched her face looks, her feature are close together yet she has full eyes and big lips, I expect a lot from her.

Martyna: And this is the first ever plus sized model on PNTM and frankly, I think she looks better in motion than on photo. This doesn't do her well in the slightest.

Michalina: I love her bone structure (square head for days!) but I'm not as gaga as everyone else.

Natalia: And I present everyone's favorite girl at the moment, she's clearly very committed (she was a semi last cycle and lost 10 kg after the show) and I am excited to see some drama from her

Weronika: I love elfish looking girls and Weronika is no exception! I love her look here so much, plus she's deaf and so fucking adorable with the judges so I'm so excited to see her do well!

Overall Thoughts:

The female models this cast are IT! My favorites from them are Adriana, Michalina, Natalia and Weronika but the male models really drag the cast down, I much prefer the semis over the actual picked ones besides Filip and Krystian if he keeps up the good photos

My Thoughts On Mongolia's Next Top Model Cycle 3

Memes aside, this cycle is the first of this series that I actively followed and enjoyed. This came after the first 2 cycles of Mongolia's Next Top Model, which I say would be the best series if not for the ending of it, when the eventual winner, Chamia, would die from a fall off a building, which many, including myself, think was murder by either her boyfriend or another model on the show. Anyways, due to that, the series went on hiatus for 2 years, making people wonder if the series would ever come back. However, it came back with the thanks of the new COVID pandemic and a new TV program and a host who doesn't help people get murdered. It was nice seeing it back and I will happily say, it gladly lived up to the hype they were preparing for us after the death of Chamia (I will review MNTM one day but I don't know if I ever do Chamia's cycle just because it doesn't feel right, go on my ask and see if you would want that). A big part of why the cycle in general was just great was because of the cast.

As always with this type of series, the cast is very strong. We had mixed Vietnamese with Dieu, Hanna's more Anna-Taylor Joy look, Nuna and Naraa just looking stunning, Dino was the better Brendi K of the cycle, same makeover and everything, Mendy looked like the first winner of MNTM, and Tsolmon was just expensive looking. I loved this cast look clearly as they all look so different and Mongolia embraced the casts' look and also gave some creative yet versatile makeovers.

My biggest problem with the cycle was the group twists. Every other episode until the finales, the girls would be put into 2 groups and the winner of the groups would receive immunity. The rest would have to do a runway challenge and the worst of the walkers would be eliminated. It screwed over a lot of girls like Hanna, who would never win any of the group challenges and keep much weaker models like Dino and Khulanii. Indonesia's NTM C2 is doing it much MUCH worse though because they do it every goddamn episodes.

Ignoring all of the flaws, the photoshoots were super creative, one of the best in any NTM in my opinion. We started off really well with a fire runway, inspired by ANTM's but much more safer and more cooler, but the cycle kinda hit a wall for me when we had a pretty boring duos shot, inspired by All Stars from ANTM and a shitty car photoshoot. However, the cycle took a big shot up with its super cute ads shot and one of the best photoshoots out of the entire series, its tights photoshoot where the girls would play with illusions. Plus, the cyberpunk themed photoshoot using new camera angles and risks is just amazing to look at. Finally, the challenge shots were super high quality for a background image and if I were to rank them, most of them would be in the top 10 list.

Oh yeah, the winner Hanna! Hanna really started off 2022 with a big bang. I mentioned how much she looked like the asian Anna Taylor Joy to me. She had pretty shit teeth but ignoring that, she was the most consistent throughout the cycle. She wasn't as meme-worthy as Kyveli though but we got some meme worthy content from her. Mostly, her judgemental "bitch please" looks into the camera. There was some hate for her win due to her connection to the host but like Saleshia, who cares, as long as you modelled the shit out of the show then connections be damned

Now, the notable models of the cycle!

Key Models:

- Nuna got the awesome pink hair of the cycle, which I fucking adored. I love dyed up hair like that (Adela PhNTM C2) and she worked it! It's a shame that the group twist of the cycle fucked her because she was a worthy final 3 contender.

- Tsolmon was just expensive looking, height be damned because she carried the cycle with her personality and modeling skills. She would've been a great winner for the show, even if her height would be a big issue for the judges

- Khatnaa was the judge's pet project for the cycle due to her braces, age, and her inexperience. I say as a new up-and-coming model, she really carried her own during the cycle, despite being dragged unfairly to the final 2.

- Dieu is so adorable! I loved her "out of the balls to the walls" modeling, she didn't really have a chance to do any modeling post show but she took a lot of risks throughout the show. It was great to see her make it to the semi finales and her massive improvement throughout.

- Dino is like Brendi K when she was unfairly dragged to the almost end, except she was actually eliminated for her best shot while Brendi K quitted and would've most likely stayed. She was a lovely girl but her photo quality was a oof.

Obvious is obvious, a lot of the models this cycle could easily take the award from me but the winner was one of my favorites from me. Shoutout to Tsolmon and Nuna as well since they completed hard for this spot!

It's hard to choose a model here because I don't hate anyone this cycle but Khulanii comes close for me mostly because she never looked like a model to me, just ok to me (plus her walk is a MESS).

Most Robbed Model

Naraa

It's hard to choose a model for this spot since I agree with most of the eliminations but Naraa came close for me. Naraa was a stunning gal but her elimination was complete bullshit. She got screwed over by the group twist, leading her to fuck up on the runway and unfairly eliminated, she deserved better!

This took me a while to finish but yeah, enjoy!

My Thoughts On Greece's Next Top Model Cycle 6

This is going to be a post I'm going to enjoy making.

So fun fact about me, I'm from the Middle East (thus why my english is kinda trash) and there's not really any NTMs there. Yeah, Israel has one but I don't have any Jewish descent (or understand a single bit of Hebrew). However, looking back at history, the closest NTMs to my culture would be Greece. You know, Alexander the Great conquering Iran and all that shit, it's the closest one to me and makes sense. Greece's NTMs are shows I enjoyed a lot and would rank one day if there weren't 20 FUCKING CONTESTANTS AND 30 EPISODES.

Yeah, my biggest issue with this series in general is how long it is. The reason why I do shorter series like AsNTM (which is why I'm fucking scared for AusNTM C7-8) because it's just easier in general for me to do. It's really easy to lose interest in something when it's longer than my life. However, despite this, I still followed the greek series not because of how good it is (it was at some point) but of how much of a fucking mess it was.

After Greece's NTM C1-2, the series was cancelled and if the series ended at that, I would've been ok since the photos from that series were just magical. However, it was renewed at 2018 with a new creative director, Genevieve Majari. The original creative director for C1-2, Tassos Sofroniou, would often do big shoots, with grand buildings, landscape, dramatic scenes in general which worked for me! Seriously, check out the cycles on RBG, the dramatic shoots with the extreme makeup would be some of my favorite shots of all time, the red dress sailor being one of the best examples. They were creative, even if the execution wasn't the best, you could tell that thought and care was being put into this. Compare that to Genevieve Majar, who took that to the extreme. Instead of focusing on the modeling aspect of the series, she went to the extreme too much, cube posing, jumping shots, weird styling, too many emotional practices, landscape photoshoots with no depth put into it and even when they use real landscape, it looks fake due to the photo taking and filter used. Genevieve made the photoshoots boring and focused more on acting than modeling, which made the show fucking hard to watch because of it.

Ignoring the mess of the cycle right now, I want to talk about one of the best factors of this, the winner aka the meme queen Kyvéli! Finally, in a series, I agree with the winner! She, along with another model, was the only model I gave 2 shits about but I'll talk about her in the best model category. Kyvéli is the best example of a loveable bitch winning. She knew that this cycle was a joke so she was a sarcastic bitch throughout, mocking the challenges given, causing drama for the fuck of it, and being a overall bitch just to get a laugh for herself to everyone besides Agapi (because she's fucking precious). My favorite moments was in the final 4, where she decided to just sabotage everyone's shot by being a fucking troll throughout because she knew damn well she was the favorite in the judge's eyes, fucking iconic.

Key Models: - Olga was a swimmer at heart and it showed throughout the show. Not saying she was bad but she was the model verb, not the noun. However, she did excell in the underwater shoot and the poolside challenge, love to see it. Her and Kono (who I'll talk about in a bit) were really weak compared to Kyvéli and made the finale boring because we all knew who would win.

- Agapi was my personal favorite during the show and I found her insanely underrated by the judges and the fans. I remember when she was predicted to leave in top 15 only to last to 6, I was her biggest fan throughout the show. I would have her as my runner up.

- Stylianos was hated by the judges for no damn reason, like 3 B2s in a row and blaming him for struggling during the underwater shoot when the water was too cold to shoot in.. fucking bullcrap. He deserved better.

- Aegos is the meme king of the cycle, or the closest to it. Why, you may ask? His profile. For 75% of his portfolio, he shot in profile which everyone in RGB made fun of for half of the cycle, funny shit. It's a shame that he shot mostly profile because when he shoots straight on, it's STUNNING.

- Vasilis was someone I felt bad for. He was clearly one of the strongest male models of the cycle yet was screwed over by the judges hating him and the shitty photoshoots. Good on him for quiting this shitshow and realizing it would ruin his career. He reminded me a lot of Hercules, winner of Greece's NTM C5.

- Konstantinos was the weakest out of the final 3 given to us. He was the pure example of too fierce ANTM model. He often overposed, even for the extreme photoshoots, went too fierce for a lot of shoots and often looked awkward. He was already in a bad corner due to his sexuality by the public (which frankly shows how fucked up the views of Greece is) but the photos didn't help.

- Napoleon is also our meme king for his poses. He poses with his crotch out most of the time, sometimes getting FCO for it. We love to see a man who's ok with his dick spread out ready to pose

For once, the winner is my favorite of the cycle! I loved how she would make fun of the photoshoots knowing how damn stupid they were only to serve in every one of them.

So you may be wondering, who? Me too, he was a semi-finalist who didn't make the first cut only to be brought back after Vasilis quit. Problem is, HE WAS BROUGHT BACK 16 WEEKS INTO THE COMPETITION! Yeah, he's given worst for a reason. He just had 2 shots and then boom, gone after 2 episodes. He was a waste of time for everyone and basically for nothing since the judges never liked him.

Most Robbed Model(s)

Dinos, Eirini, Agapi

All three were my personal favorite before the cycle and both got screwed over by the shit elimination order and the judge's favoritism for extremeness rather than actual talent. Screw them.

Eirini's in particular was cruel. They kept underrating her before sabotaging her by choosing her worst shot, screwing her over by blaming her and then she was gone, fucking assholes.

Overall Thoughts:

This cycle was a mess to watch happen and it's a fucking joke that this show got renewed despite shit ratings, backlash, and overall negative reception. The winner was worth it though SCREW THIS CYCLE THANK GOD IT'S OVER!

My thoughts on the new Switzerland Cycle

Hi, I'm not coming back yet (2 more days here boos), however, I want to do a review of some of the new cycles that I have been able to follow, Switzerland NTM C5!

This cycle is arguably the worst cycle this year, it was a short watch yes but it was clearly rigged for someone to win and one of the worst models at that. Plus, it screwed over one of their strongest models because he was from Austria, made a 16 year old pose nude, and kept so many shit models over the actual decent models. This cycle was painful to watch til the very end and the ending is one of the worst in NTM history. You thought Whitney was bad, introducing Dennis!

He is quite a handsome man, however, let's compared him to his competition, Aldin, who gives us energy and life, like Jakob from C5. With Dennis, he just stands there, pretty but he always looked tired. He was the literal embodiment of YAS QUEEN DO NOTHING.

Seriously, check out this cycle on realitybites and compare him to everyone else, he was just such a yawnfest and either looked tired, dead, or pretty but not model. It's rumored that he won since the one of the producers were his father (?) and if that was the case, that's just laughable. At least Whitney could model and was a pretty decent plus sized model all things considered but Dennis just stood there, pretty but fucking boring.

God, he was so amazing this cycle and this shot of him leaves rent free in my head. He got a average of a 2 from me when I ranked it while Dennis got a 5 or a 6. Shows a big difference. It's a shame that his Austrian descent turned off the judges and audience for him because if he won, he would've been the best male model winners of all time.

Shoutout to his snake shot too, that shot is HOT

I barely remember her but god, this shot is amazing. I love how vulnerable she is and the fear on her face is so inviting. It tells a story here. I never got the B2 for this shot, it's fucking stellar!

Worst Model of the Cycle (besides Dennis)

Stella

Stella is a plus sized model and probably one of the worst ever. Her body is killer yes but she was just so boring. She either looked about 50ish and her poses were fine or both were just horrible. It was clear that the judges dragged her to final 7 because of the fact that she was a plus sized model, that's it. She just bored me and always looked older than she actually was, shame really since her look is amazing

Just damn, what a amazing body, I loved this girl and if Aldin couldn't have won, then she should've, would've made everyone proud

Overall: This cycle had so much potential, great models, great shoots, everything seemed ready for success but the winner just left us down, thanks producers, you made your son proud?
