So I visited the beautiful National Trust Stourhead with my family yesterday. This isn't our first visit, but each time we come it has that added bit of poignancy for me, as it's where my best friends ashes were scattered. It was one of her most treasured places to visit and it was where she asked to be scattered when she left this world for the next. I miss her every day, sad that she left us 18 years ago,but I smile every time I visit, knowing a little bit of her is always there as we walk by the lake. Many congratulations to Richard and Annaliese who married on Monday at the Temple of Apollo at @ntstourhead. Such a romantic setting, looking down over the lake, but access is a little tricky. Thank goodness for Graham and his van, who transported me and the flowers backwards down the sloping narrow path which dropped away steeply to one side... a white knuckle ride!
