one guy in an online chat recently asked (for the sake of trolling, as i figured out later):

in theory, if the reactor explodes and the valve office is ruined and tf2 servers are terminated, will you still like nuclear reactors?

i started telling him about passive emergency core cooling systems, defence in depth and so on; i started to contend that it's nearly impossible nowadays... i understood that he was trolling me after he wrote a disgusting joke about chernobyl. what the fuck, dude...

my special interests are definitely important to me. and that obviously dumb joke was the only red flag in his messages

aaaaand then i started infodumping about nuclear reactor stuff. yup. right after i got trolled by some dumbass

I’m so naturally curious and excited — I was working on the neutron transport equation last night. I woke up still curious, just more tired, trying my best to get the fuck up and write a single line of code, because it’s FASCINATING.

I’m becoming a burst of energy when it comes to my favourite things, and I just can’t behave hollowly. I hate it when people have no interest in life... Come on, there’s so much to do — why sit idle?
