I’d like to imagine that Tim has Tourette Syndrome. Walk with me…

Since you have to have had symptoms as a minor to be diagnosed with it i’d like to imagine that his situation was pretty similar to mine.

As a child it was mostly just random shivers that he couldn’t really explain. They were never that noticeable to other’s so he didn’t think anything of it.

When he got older and more stressful events started occurring the tics became more intense and even vocal. (Now i’m not a comic reader so all my impressions about his parents are from other fans so this could be completely out of character) but again i’d like to imagine that Jack and Janet would react kind of like how my parents did at first with denial.

“Why are you doing that? Stop it” When he grabs something hot and has to jerk his hand away and whistle.

“No Tim these aren’t tics you’re just frustrated with the situation.” After he continually snapped his head to the left while his parent’s were having a particularly heated conversation at the dining table.

They weren’t saying these things out of malice, it was just them wanting to believe that there wasn’t anything wrong with their son. They just wanted to protect him and being normal and proper, especially in high society, was the best way to do that.

Tim being his stubborn and resilient self wouldn’t let his tics keep him from doing what he wanted. Because he enjoyed following Batman and Robin around at night and taking pictures he decided to learn how to manage his tics so that they wouldn’t give him away.

I will say that because of the way his parents reacted at first to his tics once he becomes robin he refrains from telling Bruce at first which causes some conflict and mistrust down the road.

But i think Bruce as well as the Drakes with time would see how able and capable Tim is despite his disability.

idk this isn’t fully fleshed out and i also think things would be different if we were talking about the Junior Joker universe but I like the concept and I feel like out of all the wayne’s it fits him the most.

i’m open to any and all constructive criticism because like i said i haven’t read any comics and i don’t want to be too out of character.

i hate feeling invalidated as a superhero fan just because i haven’t read the comics….

you know there’s other media out there right?

you know not everything has to be 1:1 with the comics to be good right?

you know that not everything in the comics makes 100% sense right?

i’m convinced that people who say they don’t like multiverse movie just aren’t paying attention to the movie.

i remember talking to my dad about across the spiderverse and he told me he didn’t like it that much because it was a multiverse movie and if lost him.

sir you wouldn’t be lost if you just watched the movie. like put down instagram reels and actually pay attention.

it’s just feel like people like movie where you can also be on your phone doing whatever and still be able to understand the plot. which i find, for lack of gentler words, stupid.

i get that some people think that the multiverse trope is lazy writing but i find it so cool. and i honestly don’t like that people act like it’s so hard to follow.

but that’s just me

Thinking a lot about how much I relate to Creep by radiohead

“i don’t care if it hurts. i want to have control” I’ll do anything to get control of my life. It feels so out of my hands most of them time. I’m not the one making the major decisions for myself and i don’t get to. But i want to, i want my life to be mine. and maybe one day I’ll have the guts to do what will hurt and take control.

“I want a perfect body” This has two sides for me. I’m a dancer, specifically ballet. What i would give, what i would do to be strong enough and flexible enough to have those 180 lines front back and side. To jump and reach crazy heights, to turn and just never stop. Ballet is about striving for perfection even though there is no such thing. The other thing is i’m a woman, and like many women, i desire to be desired. to be seen and be called beautiful, pretty, stunning. I want that body that will make someone want me. And yes i’d much prefer someone love me for my brain than my body, but I still want to be considered attractive. as flawed as that may be.

“I want a perfect soul” I’m christian, so once again i’m face with a pursuit to reach and reflect and be like perfection. Jesus was perfect in every sense of that word. And so for me it’s only right to want to be like him. To have a pure soul. One full of love and kindness and grace. Something that i work on with myself daily.

“I want you to notice when i’m not around” I want to be wanted. Not just romantically but platonically as well. I’m so terrified that my friends actually hate me and don’t actually want me around. Or that i annoy them to no end. And i fear being forgotten. or not being worth remembering.

“you’re so special, i wish i was special” I love deep. So very very deep. The people i associate myself with and care about and choose to spend time with and the most special things in my life. But im scared i’ll never know or fully feel like im that special to them. I think thats the problem with feeling as much as I do. Who could compare to that other than God. And yes God will always be enough at the end of the day but i’m not talking about Him, i’m talking about people, humans. I feel like i love to fast and hard for anyone to ever match me. Or try to. And i’m scared i’ll push people away by being too much.

“But i’m a creep. I’m a weirdo” I’m an odd individual. I’ve been told this face to face. I obsess over fiction and care about things that some people wouldn’t. Communication comes easy and hard to me at the same time. I’m anxious about everything. I want to be liked, loved, appreciated so much and i never fit in. i wouldn’t consider myself normal. not many people would.

“What the hell am i doing here. I don’t belong here” I don’t fit in. Sometimes it feels like im a puzzle piece from a completely different box. I can act and observe and try to react like how i’d assume someone would. But sometimes i don’t think that that’s normal. Constantly trying to act like other people. Squeezing my rhombus shaped self into the square holes of society. Laughing when others laugh. Smiling because i don’t understand but i shouldn’t let them know that. nodding and clapping and grinning and giggling. Following social cues because ive taught myself how since i was little. just so id stop being so different. sometimes i blame the fact that I was homeschooled till 4th grade. sometimes i think i was just born this way. I don’t hate it necessarily…but it’s uncomfortable at times. being so different all the time. even with the people i’m closest too. i’m too blunt, too caring, too excited, to emotional, too much. always too much.

anyways yeah. i actually paid attention to the lyrics while singing creep this time and it hit me like a brick (that was not kisses by the way).
