People consider Wildlife in cities to be a "Nuisance" when the Species is inconvenient. We can't get rid of them unless we made our cities completely uninhabitable (even for ourselves). We need meet Nature halfway. Besides, we need large Predators to manage many species. That's what they do to survive. You can't expect office workers, doctors, and construction workers, for example to do it. You can't expect the Government to waste Taxpayer Money we need for other things on it. We as Individuals need to learn to Coexist and let the Predatory Species fullfil their Environmental Function. Yes, it might be dangerous for Careless People or the Uneducated, but that is why you Educate. We already have dangerous a Predatory Species around, they are called Humans and they might have Guns or Steel Claws (knives) and are Usually more Cunning. On the list of things people die from, Predators is low on the list. Most Fear Humans more. We adapt. Adaptation, might eventually mean completely redesigning how we build cities and structures all together.
