Man I will be happy when I don't have to keep my room at 60F to keep this pc at normal running temperature. Had an incident several months back (almost a year) that caused the CPU fan to fail, and the processor to overheat a few times. Ever since then, it has been getting hot really easily, and sadly enough, its a model of CPU they don't make anymore (Intel E6850). Yes, I do have a new fan on it. Yes, it is an aftermarket type.
Sucks being poor man, sucks. For the machine I want (best of the best, literally) would cost me about $1600 - 2000, maybe 2600 if I get the best video card. (these are bought parts, yes. Not pre-made.)
Honestly, for a 2006 machine, this one is doing fantastic. Really surprised that it has run as long as it has.
I guess I am due for some actual updates...
