Numbers In Greek
So, a few days ago I decided that I wanted to learn Greek because 1) I’m a bible college student, 2) a lot of English words came from the Greek language, 3) I’m bumping into a lot of Greek words whenever I read my textbooks, lecture notes, lecture videos, additional reading materials etc, 3) the New Testament books were originally written in Greek, “therefore the need for Greek”, as I tell myself, is necessary. So here we go. First lesson, numbers in Greek.
Six = exi, Seven = epta, Eight = okto, Nine = enea, Ten = deka.
One more number that I’ve also learned is miden, which means zero in English.
