Uber lowered their rates during the strike because their goal isnt monetary profit right now, but to kill the competition (cab drivers basically) and monopolize the taxi industry. They also disregard legislation where ever they go just to one up local cab drivers. Look up what they're doing in Argentina right now to get an idea of how gross of a company they are. Fuera Uber.
