As a result of bilateral technical-level meetings between the American and Ukrainian delegations on March 23-25 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the parties agreed on numerous issues, including ensuring safe Black Sea navigation, prohibiting strikes on energy facilities, assisting in the exchange of prisoners of war, securing the release of civilian detainees, and return of Ukrainian children forcibly transferred by Russia.
Ukraine desires peace more than anyone else and is ready to take steps toward it as quickly as possible, working in close coordination with the United States, Europe, and all partners.
Yet, Russia’s actions matter much more than words – they speak louder. The coming days will be revealing of its true intentions: whether it seeks a real and just peace or simply more deception of the world, and the U.S. in particular.
