▲— Flame sat at the bus stop and continuously looked from the end of the road to the time on his phone. It was getting to the point where he didn't know if the bus was coming or not. He took a deep breath, trying not to worry too much about it. So the bus was running a little late? What's it matter? He knew his father would understand if he was a little late because of a late bus, right?
Eventually, while he was waiting, someone took the empty spot next to Flame, normally he was the only one to sit at this bus stop. It was unusual for anyone in this part of town to use the bus, in his opinion at least. The other seemed to be a few years older than himself, and so Flame thought it would be a perfect chance to try and make friends with them.
"Hello." He said with an awkward smile. "I'm Flame." The teen said, before holding his hand out for him to shake. "I'm sorry if it's weird that I'm introducing myself to you after you just sat down but you see I don't have many friends and we might be sitting here for a while I've already been sitting here for a little while now and I don't know if the bus is even going to come but if it is and we're going to be sitting here we should at least get to know each other a little, don't you think?" He asked, his words running on to each other, making it very clear that he wasn't used to talking to people.
A low rumble would be heard in the driveway as Dallas pulled in. He was utterly exhausted from work and the highlight of his day was the events that took place right after he had bailed his step son out of jail, interestingly enough. Dallas hopped out of the car, holding all the groceries in his hands and cursing silently under his breath when he saw the time. Stepping into the house, he was sure everyone was asleep. He set the groceries down in the kitchen and locked the door, before heading to the bedrooms. Dallas stopped outside of Barrett's room, opening it just a crack to see if his son was awake.
