honestly probably both?? depends on how I'd have gotten into it tbh; I'm into collegiate hockey because I went to a few games as a kid, but I also am into pro bc... well.. I mean it's the Avs lol.

53. Favorite trans headcanon?

oooooh I LOVE this question tho it's not specific enough for my taste but I get to be WILD so.. I'll admit I love any of the trans headcanons where Andrew, Kevin, or Neil are trans. That's extra neat to me. There's a series of sickfics with Kevin being trans that I like!! And another one where he's trans and it's KevAaron (KevAaron is crack to me)

137. Do you like the trope of Allison using the Foxes as models in her fashion career?

Y E S she has to imo, I feel like she'd be the designer that pushed the envelope of what types of models she'd use, so she'd use such a wide variety to show all different body types and ways of being human and yeah. I like Allison in all capacities

I saw your response to the happy-ask-thing(?), so follow up question: do you have a favorite piano piece/composer/player? I used to play a bit, but now I can only play like 2 songs purely from muscle memory 🤣

EEEE OMG YES I miss piano so much I’m planning on getting myself a keyboard this upcoming month (I stopped playing mainly bc I went to college but I think a lot about who I would’ve been if I chose to be a concert pianist)

ANYWAY

Okay so I am a bit limited bc I only play classical lol so I don’t know any current pianists or contemporary composers but I do wanna change that, if you have any recs lemme know!

In terms of composers Debussy will always have my heart - the first (and so far only) piece of his that I can play is First Arabesque which is so gorgeous

Beyond that other composers include: Chopin, Bach, Tchaikovsky, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff!

So here's a random amount of facts!

They can read Latin almost fluently

they have one tattoo above their left knee which is a quote from the Odyssey that says 'there will be killing til the score is paid'

If they're not working on homework or Old French, they tend to read fantasy books, especially 'children's' fantasy (like Redwall)

They can tie a knot in a cherry stem with their tongue

they only wear patterned socks, including at games

they gave themself most of their piercings (minus their nose ring which they had done proessionally)

Spencer uses an extra long racquet because they discovered it gives them a little more leverage when stick checking

they watch musicals with Andrew when they can't sleep

they stop Kevin from butchering recipes by trying to make them 'healthy'

they love video games

Firstly, the quote from the odyssey (there will be killing til the score is paid): Spencer just rly liked the quote but also it resonated bc they feel like any suffering they go through is deserved in return for the shitty things they’ve done

The fox: cause of palmetto lol it gave them a new life

The butterfly: Aaron off handedly mentioned once how butterfly tattoos are often associated with people who survive self harm and such (at least from what I know, it might also rep something else!) and so once Spencer goes pro they debut a new butterfly tattoo

-quote from the hunter: it’s kinda like something that they can see how it applies to them/who they used to be (when they get to a certain point)

-umbrella: they like the symbolism of having something (finally) that they can rely upon to be there (aka the foxes)

i'm sorry, this is so very random, but i've been thinking about your piano au while listening to some operas and i can't. get the thought out of my head.

may i propose famous mezzo-soprano mary hatford? neil has a good voice and could have trained as a tenor but the moriyamas demanded of nathan that he learn piano, which he liked better anyway

My weird hobby that is my only Social Thing is historical fencing - technically Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA). I use ‘swords’ to refer to it tho bc multiple people IRL have gone ‘you build historical fences?’ When I say I do historical fencing lmao

To be long winded, I specifically do longsword, but there’s a few other weapons that fall under HEMA (rapier, sidesword, Sabre, etc). It’s basically the predecessor to Olympic fencing. I’d say what my club does is a mix of modern rulesets but going back to historical texts to try and understand what they were trying to accomplish and such

It’s the first sport I’ve ever done and stuck to, especially as an adult! It’s very fun to go twice a week and get hit in the head with a 3lb steel rod (dw the gear we wear is Extensive)

omg YES of course!! (I also have a couple other posts which I've now gone back and tagged as 'goalposts')

they eventually get more tattoos, including a medieval illustration tattoo (I am also accepting ideas on what tattoos they get! My brain hasn't been working very well lately lol); I also have a HC that they go with Andrew and Neil at some point

they bond with Allison over perfume of all things - turns out Allison has connections to acquiring samples of the weirdest perfumes, and Spencer and Allison enjoy inflicting said perfume on the Foxes (Abby threatened to bench them one practice after they wore Tuskovat's Anarchist A because everyone hated it so much)

their fave colors are amethyst and deep ocean blue-green

they like the peach flavor of Monster

at one point they pick up painting again and the first thing they paint is the Foxes' court (Wymack ends up hanging it up in the lounge)

Spencer texts Jean the most unhinged memes they can find

their favorite fruit is strawberries and they'll eat any vegetable except for mushrooms

if they are in a new situation with the Foxes, they'll either follow Kevin, Dan, Aaron, or Matt around like a baby duckling

they identify as pansexual and at one point has a crush on someone on the Palmetto track team who looks vaguely like Jean (the Foxes don't let them live it down for a whole three months after Nicky spots how bright red Spencer gets talking to him and tattles)
