I am a huge fan of hair dye, I have tons of hair dye of different colors and different brands so this week I stopped by a local beauty store because I wanted to change the color of my hair and I found this brand called Nutrapel and their line RBL with bright beautiful colors that can also be turned into pastel shades. I love trying different products every once in a while so of course I had to get some stuff from this brand, I got a tube of hair dye in the shade “purple” and a jar of that cream that turns every color into a pastel shade.
The hair dye comes in a 3.2oz tube and I payed $3USD approximately, one of the things that got my attention was the price so of course I kept thinking, don’t get your hopes high with this product but honestly I can say it’s one of the best hair dye brands I’ve used in my life. The formula is super creamy and very, VERY pigmented. I’d say it’s very similar to Pravana but cheaper, and I love that since it’s so pigmented you don’t have to use a huge amount of dye to get a pastel shade, since I’ve never used this before I failed at creating a purple to lavender ombre, I used a good amount of the purple and used huge amounts of the white cream that turns the color into a pastel shade, had to use an empty Manic Panic jar to store some of the product I didn’t use and well, I never managed to get the dye lavender so I’ll use less dye next time lol
What I used to make a “lavender color” was this white cream it’s called Pastel-Ice Cream and as the brand describes it is a creamy mix to change colors into pastel tones, so it’s pretty much the same thing as Manic Panic’s Mixer/Pastelizer or Arctic Fox’s Arctic Mist. The jar contains 12.6oz of product and I payed $4USD approximately for it and it comes with a scoop to help you get a right amount of product. The formula looks thicker than Manic Panic’s Mixer/pastelizer and it’s even thicker than white conditioner but somehow it blends very easily into the hair dye so the color is even, another thing I liked about this product was the size and price.
Here’s a picture so you can compare the size of both jars, Nutrapel’s Pastel-Ice Cream contains 12.6oz of product for $4USD approximately while Manic Panic’s Mixer/Pastelizer contains 4oz pf product for $8.99USD. I don’t have the Mixer/Pastelizer so I had to use a jar of Ultra Violet to compare both sizes.
After using both products my hair was ok, it felt good and since the weather right now is so cold I washed my hair with hot water and well, the color stayed super bright. Let’s see how long this dye lasts, but since it’s so pigmented I’m sure it will last for a good amount of time. I’d recommend this hair dye, it does an outstanding job for the price, too bad I couldn’t find all the shades online so you can see how gorgeous they are.
I’ll keep you posted, here’s the website if you’d like to take a look: http://www.nutrapel.com
UPDATE
I started using this brand like 3 weeks ago maybe? And I’m very happy with it. Hair is not damaged at all with this brand, unlike ION that makes my hair super dry, the color is so pigmented, it hasn’t faded at all the purple just got a bit lighter but it’s still super bright, definitely would buy this brand again, it does an outstanding job for a low price.
Hey guys!, I just found this new brand, well, it’s not new but I’ve never heard of it before so it’s pretty much new to me, It’s the line RBL by Nutrapel, they have beautiful bright and neon colors and this thing that turns any color into a pastel color, it’s just like Manic Panic’s mixer/pastelizer or Arctic Fox’s Arctic Mist, you’ll see why I got this, I’ll post a review on this product soon. Stay tuned! ;)
