unbreakable swords in a gun fight
Everyone wants to be saved, everyone wants to be forgiven, everyone wants to be loved.
Only The Strong Can Love
What the fuck is this bullshit you kids call “late stage capitalism”? You think the reason why you can’t live your “aesthetic vegan lifestyle” is because of 2022? You think the world problems just appeared a year before you were born? You think there is a ”stage” where these problems are solved? Is that what you want? A literal consumer class of people who’s only job is to broadcast their life on the internet to act as a living, walking, advertisement to your para-social relationships?
Let me tell you…it’s not that there is a concept called late stage capitalism, the reality is you now live in a world where the elderly and boomers are the only ones who know how to keep the system of electricity, plumbing, clean water, and gasoline alive and their children, the millennials have extreme burnout from such a rapid shift in economy. See, as millennials we expected to take the place of our fathers, we were wrong because our fathers are holding onto dear life as they too did not expect an economic upheaval after going to war in Iraq. So millennials had to craft new ways to make money and so we turned to the internet as the new platform for communication and as such the ability to create wealth appeared.
Enter “the late stage” of capitalism where in the next twenty years there will be less people that know how to run a nuclear power plant and more people that steam on Twitch depending on the power that power plant needs to survive. So really, “late stage capitalism” is the boomers being the last people who can actually run the world and are being paid well for it. The millennials are those who rejected the established system because it lied to us about the ability to become economically sovereign. And Gen Z are those kids who lean into the establishment hardcore in order to try and get some sort of security in the world and their lives.
The whole “strong men create good times” argument. Which I think is false, because as humanity evolves with the technology it develops, we are able to express more of our freedom and willpower than ever before. This does create a problem however, in that we are not so technologically advanced that we can guarantee everyone’s freedom and happiness and the reality is that only very few will have the resource and the education needed to live well and there will be more and more poor as the tech that is developed is only designed to boost the positions of those already in power as the middle class who used to manage that technology become more obsolete as the tech leans more towards autonomy, those who were not born into the upper class will actually have a higher barrier to entry when it comes to economic sovereignty.
These stages are in fact a cycle. At the end of every cycle is dissolution. So the real question is how do we destroy and revamp the system we were born in rather than become apart of it upholding the ideas that keep the people trapped in this so-called “society”.
You don’t mean nothing at all to me.
No, you don’t mean nothing at all to me.
But you got what it takes to set me free.
You could mean everything to me.
Yet to all it shall seem beautiful; it’s enemies who say not so…are mere liars
I truly am a monster
