( — ‘noah’. the host voiced from the flat-screen above her head. perhaps it was only a coincidence, there were tons of people out there with the same name— no big deal. ‘castor’. the voiced finished. she knew that name. the last name— that last name. she rose her eyes to the screen. the face she knew all too well stared back at her. it was noah. )

( — sandals dangling from her fingers, toes sinking into the familiar texture of sand beneath her feet, alise strolled down towards the water— the crowd. probably a bad idea to wait until after the show ended— especially when everyone was pumped to meet the surfers, she’d lost sight of him in the mix. though, he was easy to spot, her eyes finding him again in the middle of a small group of people a few feet away. now coming up from behind, she poked his shoulder before she spoke up, in their native tongue. )
