I met someone a number of years ago just as they were readying themselves to move.

As they decided what they would keep and what they would throw out, they invited me to choose anything that was on the ‘throw’ pile.

Actually, there seemed to be more interesting stuff that she regarded as rubbish for the tip. This pitcher dates back to the mid to late 1700’s!…

NVERS seeking a full-time program director

The Northern Virginia Emergency Response System (NVERS) in partnership with the Northern Virginia Hospital Alliance (NVHA) is currently seeking to fill the full-time position for the NVERS Program Director. To apply, please submit a cover letter with your resume to [email protected]. 

NVERS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit in partnership with the Northern Virginia Hospital Alliance (NVHA). NVERS supports the 25 towns, cities, and counties with approximately two million residents that comprise Northern Virginia within the metropolitan National Capital Region (NCR). NVERS supports a regional approach to coordinated preparedness, response, mitigation, and recovery across jurisdiction and discipline boundaries during day-to-day emergencies and multi-jurisdictional and/or multi-disciplinary incidents through strategic planning, priority-setting, information sharing, training, exercises, equipment acquisition, and policy-making.
