1 year and 28 days... We had a great run, everybody!
After an amazing year of activity, it’s time we say goodbye to our characters and shut Northvale High down. I know many of you are still here, there’s no doubt we’re all very sad to see the group come to such an end, however it would be a lie to say we didn’t see it coming. Most of us still in the group today have been here for several months, some even from the very start, which is quite amazing when you think about it; we’ve become real friends over the past year, please don’t let the closing of the group take that away from you. That being said, being friends ooc and talking about how much we love the group doesn't help the activity the slightest bit. While I was discussing the current state of Northvale with some of you, our ooc conversations went on forever, yet the dash remained still. Sure, we were tehnically online, but we weren’t active, only posting the mandatory replies needed to keep our place in the group. Trust me, as someone who's been running this group for over a year, it pains me to say this, but friendships and occasional posts with your favorite characters aren’t enough to keep the group going. The sad fact is there have only been three starters posted in the past week... Two of those characters have already left. Northvale high used to be a group with over sixty characters, remember when we had to agree on a limit of 70 character to make sure this wouldn’t get too crowded? We would welcome new people every day, maintain a busy dash, have fun with everyone... I’ve not done a proper activity check in the past couple of days because I know if I did, there would only be twenty characters left at best. I’ve kept our promo blog posting reguraly every day for the past couple of months, I’ve doubled the number of posts posted per day, tried to reach every tag I could, tried different promo styles... I’ve always done my best to keep the main as clean and friendly as possible, however during these past few weeks the number of people applying for Northvale High drastically declined and since this is something I can have little effect on, it’s just the final straw that made me shut the group down. I’ve done a lot, a lot of thinking about this yet it still feels so strange saying it.

I’m actually on the verge of tears right now, what do you do when something you’ve been looking after for a year ends? Is this what heartbreak at the end of a relationship feels like because this sucks.
