NWA PRIDE 2020 GOES VIRTUAL!

NWA Pride had big plans for 2020, but COVID-19 has forced all of us to flip gears and go virtual! Northwest Arkansas Pride is hosting a series of virtual events on Friday, June 26th, in conjunction with the international Global Pride broadcast. These events bring our LGBTQ community together to celebrate 16 years of Pride in Northwest Arkansas, and to celebrate the fabulous and multi-faceted expressions of our diverse LGBTQ culture.

Pride Yoga w/ Day by Day

Time: 9:00am via Zoom

Join the Day by Day team for Pride Yoga Class. This is a beginner-friendly class for the NWA LGBTQ community. The class will be taught by Caty, Crystal, Jenni Kay, and Deb, adding four times the opportunity for fun! Come celebrate NWA Pride with us by moving and breathing together and enjoy the healing practice of Yoga. See you on your mat!  Register here.

Equality Street

Time: 11:00am and Rerun at 3:30pm via Facebook Live and YouTube

Join Ella DeMarco, Taylor Madison Monroe, Maddy Morphosis, the Lady Kakes, and their special friends on Equality Street for a puppet show, performances, educational segments, and drag storytime. 

2020 NWA Virtual Pride Parade

Time: 4:30pm via Facebook Live and YouTube

Join Sunshine Broder and Taylor Madison Monroe as they host the 16th Annual NWA Pride Parade, err…VIRTUAL Pride Parade! The online event includes Mayor Lioneld Jordan’s annual proclamation and streams over 50 video entries from some of Northwest Arkansas’ most supportive businesses and organizations!

Maxine's Virtual Pride Happy Hour

Time: 6:00pm via Facebook Live on Maxine's page and streaming through the NWA Equality page and YouTube.

Maxine’s Tap Room is celebrating a very special NWA Pride Happy Hour with the rock ‘n soul woman-fronted group Dazz & Brie, live-streaming a special set of music from the bar. While Anthony Taylor walks you through two cocktails the Moscow Mule and The Lady Bouffant, with Fox Trail Distillery Boxley Vodka. You can purchase a cocktail kit from our friends at Dickson Street Liquor, or follow along with your own happy hour drinks and a full set of music!

C4 Virtual Pride Drag Show

Glitterville Virtual Party

Time: 8:30pm on Zoom (links will be on Facebook and YouTube)

We can’t imagine NWA Pride without the Glitterville party, and we’ve figured out how to bring it right into your home! Get those sequins on and join us LIVE on Zoom with circuit DJs Jessie Jaxx of Dallas and Joe Pacheco of New York as they headline this party with your favorite Fayetteville host, The Lady Kakes. Watch for a special message from Trinity Taylor! We may be apart, but we can still dance together to celebrate pride on our virtual dance floor!

This event is 18+. Moderators will screen the event for inappropriate activities, but we cannot censor all activities or attire.
