Nice little driving light upgrade on this #Vauxhall #vivaro today. Replaced indicator units with these dual purpose units that are white driving lights but also switch to indicators when required giving a very modern look. Ford Mondeo in for a terraclean DPF clean. This vehicle had a faulty turbo actuator for several weeks until Martin the owner could have it replaced... shortly after having it replaced it went into limp mode and flagged several error codes for the dpf. After seeing our advert Martin gave us a call to see if we could help. Initially we read the error codes & checked live data for the dpf... we found it to be 347% blocked and had a back pressure reading of 7psi! To ensure the readings are correct we then carried out a manual pressure check which confirmed the blockage. We then carried out our clean using the patented Terraclean formula to remove the soot accumulation allowing us to carry out a regen afterwards, this reduced the back pressure down to 0.5psi and just 29% soot content (which is normal) Martin took it for a test drive up the motorway and couldn’t believe the difference. Kim brought her Honda CR-V into us today for a DPF clean after another garage had failed to fix it! We had this well used Hyundai Tucson in today for a CGon ezero1 system to be fitted. The owner had read up on all the information and decided that this was the best option to reduce his emissions. We initially took the emissions readings before commencing the installation and found it was reading 14 hydrocarbons and .10 co2! We found a nice location on the battery box to install the unit and give a factory look. Once fitted we proceeded to set up the unit before taking out on roadtest to start the cleaning process.... once back another emissions check was carried out which showed the hydrocarbons had dropped to -0.01 and co2 to 0.06!!! Here we have Annabelle’s Vauxhall Vivaro having a dpf clean. She had not long bought the vehicle and found that the check engine light illuminated after just a few weeks of ownership! We plugged it in and found the dpf to be blocked with 80grams of soot, giving a back pressure reading of around 8psi. After carrying out the Terraclean dpf clean to reduce the soot accumulation we set about finding the cause of the blockage... we found the oil level was low and a small tear in the pressure pipe from the dpf! After topping up with fresh oil & replacing the pressure pipe we managed to get the vehicle to do a passive regen on its own meaning that it will keep itself clean in the future. 2009 Volvo which was diagnosed with a blocked dpf by a well known Autocenter . The customer had already paid £200 for a dpf treatment (tunap) whilst it was in but was then quoted over £1200 for a new dpf. After 5 mins on the diagnostics we found the dpf was clean and confirmed this with a manual check. The dpf pressure sensor needed a reset and after 10 mins car was out of limp mode and running normal . While there we got asked if we could look at the egr system and after removing the egr pipe we found it almost blocked solid . We did a full egr turbo clean along with the Terraclean treatment to give the customer better fuel consumption and restored performance along with lower emissions and smoother engine.
