I was in mood and tried to recreate Abheline in bg3. It's not perfectly accurate (she looks too feminine in my opinion, hard to mistake for a man), but i've tried my best without trying to make new headmesh for her (which is a thing i won't do i am bad at it).
She also wears random armor all the time, just grabs everything that is metal and able to protect her and doesn't care about looks
these two were sitting in a folder for weeks btw...
Lai Farlong (KC) - a 17 year old Drow Bard of the Chaotic Good alignment, she was raised by Daeghun after her Drow mother settled down in West Harbor, eventually dying in the battle. As Lai grew up, she was always met with harsh eyes due to her heritage, and as much as Daeghun did his best to vanquish this prejudice, it never really faded. But Lai's nature was truly kind if not hyperactive, so it didn't stop her from trying to befriend everyone in the village, which is what earned her the trust and friendship of Bevil Starling and Amie Fern. Thanks to Amie she discovered an interest in music and tale-telling, and found the perfect deity to idolize - Eilistraee, Drow goddess of dance, song, swordwork (Bevil encouraged and trained her in that particular skill) and general goodness. Despite Lai's easygoing nature, her creativity and mobility helped her survive most of the hectic events that lied ahead, which made her just seasoned enough to earn the title of Knight-Captain.
Lai's best friends were Grobnar, Shandra and Neeshka. Lai herself was devastated at Shandra's death, and found herself unable to crack much of a smile or the usual joke after that. She had to grow up and toughen up, like Daeghun always told her to, or else she would not survive the battle and Shandra would have died in vain.
Luana Glimmerhope - a 34 year old (and very short) Moon Elf Barbarian of the Chaotic Good alignment, and a loyal follower of Selûne, Luana was raised by a rather religious clan of barbarians who lived in constant danger of Shar worshippers attacking, due to their open love for the Moonmaiden. With time and age, she detached from her clan and became sort of a vigilante for the Sword Coast, keeping a harsh lookout for Shar worshippers and other travellers who are in need of help against wild animals or degenerate marauders. By chance, Luana's path crossed with the Kalach-Cha, and she aided young Lai in her journey to uncover the plot behind the King of Shadows, as the Moonmaiden's visions haunted her nights forewarning a terrible future. Luana became sort of a mentor and older sister figure to Lai as their adventure continued, and did her best to keep the entire group in line. After all, everyone had to be focused for the merciless assault the King of Shadows was about to execute...
Luana's best relationships were with Casavir and Zhjaeve. Zhjaeve's soft-spoken tone reminded her of many motherly figures from her clan, and she found herself always agreeing with Casavir's decisions and beliefs, especially when it came to shutting down Bishop's ridiculous attempts at sowing discourse (boy sit down) among the group. Bishop appreciated her light among all the darkness and they decided to pursue a relationship together right before the assault.
the aftermath?
The assault went as it usually does, all the way until the encounter with the King of Shadows. Bishop (like the rat he is) ended up betraying Lai's group and left both parties fighting against each other (oh that wall's waiting for him wbk...) - while other members such as Qara and Sand had their own personal quarrels, Lai's inspiring speech just before the battle was enough to get everyone on equal terms. However, the battle did not go smoothly. Lai spotted that the longer the battle ensued, the more the temple started to collapse. She shouted out for everyone to run away and flee as she landed the final strike against the King of Shadows' avatar with her Silver Sword, being able to stay behind and put an end to everything as everyone made a beeline for the exit. The King of Shadows fell, but so did Lai. Everyone gathered around a clearing and watched the temple collapsing, praying that the Knight-Captain may have miraculously survived. Alas, that wasn't the case... (this also means MOTB doesn't play out as it usually would)
After everything transpired, most of the companions went their separate ways. Sand (Construct too) and Khelgar stayed behind at Crossroad Keep, Zhjaeve became Qara's mentor, Elanee continued supervising the Mere of Dead Men, Ammon Jerro tracked down Shandra's farm and had a hand in rebuilding it, Grobnar and Neeshka wandered Faerûn in the search of gold and adventure while also honoring Lai by spreading love and recognition for Eilistraee, while Casavir and Luana temporarily ended their romance to focus on their duties, but still hoping they would one day rekindle.
