The reason I have to read it is because I have to write an essay on it. I've read 100 pages so far, and I am twying to read another 50 before bed, it takes a while for me to finish ten pages as the sentencing is pretty conplex. Could I do this? Sorry for the spelling errors, I'm using my smartphone. Also, for clarity, English is my native language. /////////////////////////////////////////// Question: Reading Wuthering heights in two days? Posted: 27 May 2016 06:01 AM PDT https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20160527060147AA8L9CA I'm currently working on a story, and having a hard time coming up with a way to express the correct feeling in the main character. It's a bit hard to describe since I'm not sure that everyone understands, but ya'know that sense of realization that you get at the end of highschool and in your early adult life that the world actually sucks and that humanity is really not so noble as they pretend to be. Yeah, that feeling. I want to express that in my main character, but the issue is that I'm writing this story for teens as a sort of life primer, and so the main character is about 15 - 17, and I'm not really sure what could get that feeling into a person still in highschool. /////////////////////////////////////////// Question: Because there's so many, which Harry Potter collectible wand should I get. It s OK to go up to a stranger and ask him if he wants to buy a t-shirt from me. It is sort of a turn off, to go up to a stranger and ask if he wants to buy your novel. Posted: 27 May 2016 04:02 AM PDT https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20160527040242AAyNTWn The Slytherin House seems like a villain factory in the series.I think all Slytherins we meet are cruel, bullies and Nazis. Snape turned it around in the end but Snape was still a pretty nasty man who also used to be a criminal. The only half-decent Slytherin who was not mean was Slughorn and even he was shown as pretty morally gray. Why does Harry not mind his son getting sorted in Slytherin again? (I'm talking about the epilogue where Harry says he's ok with his son being a Slytherin) I never got the impression that Slytherin is a viable House that can create law abiding citizens (with the exception of Slughorn I guess). In fact I don't know why they even kept that House in the end. Why not disband it? /////////////////////////////////////////// Question: Does bookdepository issue refund? She has an important part to play just not until nearing the end. I'm pretty stumped with what to do with her until then. She's not involved with the two main points of the story (first of which is a romance and the second which is the planning and eventual execution of a small uprising). I'm really stumped with what to do with her as she needs to be friends with my MC for her role to be executed. /////////////////////////////////////////// Question: In richard scarry "best word book ever", is there a goldbug to find? Posted: 26 May 2016 09:32 PM PDT https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20160526213245AAapNQu I know this seems like a silly thing to ask, but One of the few details I remember from the book was that I loved it. I m trying to find it again, without having to go back to my old middle school and hunt it down. I read a lot of fantasy books back then, so there s only a couple of details that I m absolutely certain of. Others I m not so sure, I may be getting it confused with another book. I m sure: that it involved a young girl going back and forth at night from the real world to a fantasy world She had at least one sister who went with her At night they attended parties in the fairy realm It was set a long time ago (not sure the era, but not 1900s) It is not a book based on the 12 dancing princesses The cover of the book, or at least the one that I had, depicted a fairy party in great detail, and looked very old-timey I m kinda sure: The girl had a frog as a friend She had two other, younger sisters that also came with her and her sister The sister that I mentioned before was older Said older sister gets mixed up with a guy in the fairy realm that she believes may be dangerous I m pretty sure it s not a very popular book, but I just remember that it was very different from what I usually read, as the main character wasn t in the typical young adult novel love triangle. Those kinds of books have been hard to come by for the last, like, ten years. Any and all ideas are welcome. /////////////////////////////////////////// Question: The World Almanac is a book of? Posted: 26 May 2016 07:47 PM PDT https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20160526194757AAvbSyW I read a book a while back that I remember liking but I can t remember the title, author, or any major plot points... just a few details and the memory of liking it. I m looking to reread it, so any help on figuring out what book it is would be great! I remember certain details, like I think the main girl lives with a grandmother or aunt or something, and I think snow is a major point of the novel? It s definitely some sort of supernatural book, and I know at some point a wolf/dog gets shot with an arrow or something and the girl finds him somewhere and brings him to her house where it turns out it s some boy she knows who can shapeshift. Also, the guardian or whoever watches her also can shapeshift. I think faeries are a main point too, and I remember something about some faeries chasing the main girl in the woods and there being a large house in the woods under some glamour where the main characters trap the faeries inside by taping spoons and random metals/iron things to window and doors to keep this in. I know these details are fairly random, but any help given would be greatly appreciated! /////////////////////////////////////////// Question: In the book The Outsiders around chapter 7-9 what does "rumble" mean to each of the Greasers? It spread like a ripple across the audience. The audible shift of the audience pulled me out my reverie with the crazy beautiful notes that Nail Campbell was drawing from the bass frame, an instrument of his own invention. I played into the melody of the feedback, laying the gritty notes of classic dissonance blues based rock as a dirge line. The blue of the constables was an unwelcome sight. There hadn’t been a blue in my club in the four years I’d owned it, that’d been there on friendly business and tonight was no different. You’d think it’d be different, what with my having been a blue myself once, but once the orders come to burn you, you’re cut off. Quite a few of the boys were deep into the philosophy of the later philosophers of the Centralists.
