MAINES started out as Rob Mcgoona, Craig Hughes and Dave Podbury writing songs as 2 guitarists and a drummer. Our first real year was in 2014.
However, we wrote for a period in 2013 before even having a name decided on, with Andy Farrell from Leucine on drums and Craig temporarily on Bass.
Unfortunately, Andy was diagnosed with Spinal cancer preventing him from being able to play. Craig switched back to drums rather than replace Andy and we continued writing as a 3 piece.
Later in 2014 Andy confirmed he would be unable to return, so Alice joined us on bass. Andy sadly passed away in October 2015 and we miss him more than words can describe. If you knew him, he effortlessly put everyone at ease. You can donate in his name here

To mark his honor and our time spent as friends, one of the first songs we wrote with him, Clocks, will be the 1st track on our debut E.P ‘Frequencies’.
