...one more time
♞ — One leg dangled off the side of the low wall, leaving few inches between the ground and black shoe covered with dirt, while the other leg was folded and rested on top of the wall. A puff of smoke left the swollen lips of the black-haired man, he had one hand holding the burning stick of cancer while the other tapped on his black helmet. He stared blankly at the burnt caravan in front of him then at the cloudy sky and exhaled the smoke again, unaware of the steps approaching him until they were too close to miss. Realizing who it was, Woobin dropped the stick and crushed it with his boot, but did not turn to look at the blonde in leather who threw a glance at the cigarette then sat down next to him with her back pressing against his. The two remained silent for a good time until she spoke. “Are you having second thoughts?”
His brain replayed the events from an hour ago when he was rolling of the floor with one of Sunghoon’s men, hands locked after both men punched each other until their knuckles bled, their weapons were lost somewhere on the ground among broken pieces of furniture and empty bullets. Woobin used his position on the ground to his advantage and kicked the other’s groin with his knees then pushed him away and tried to run to the nearest object that could be used as a tool, losing his balance in the process and hitting his chin on the edge of the table, but he managed to ignore the pain and throw the nearest chair at his pursuer just in time and launched himself onto him to strangle the man to death, watching his face as it turned to blue and breaking his wrist when he attempted to save his life.
Nana and Changwook were the first to return to assist Woobin only to find him standing after he forced the life out of the body laying beneath him. His eyes met the blonde’s eyes and he left to sit outside alone. Nana gave him some time before she joined him only to ask him a question he was trying to not think of. Is he regretting it? Woobin turned his head to get a glimpse of the girl behind him without changing his position. “It’s not my first time.” It wasn’t an answer and Nana knew that so she looked at him, staring right into his eyes as if to tell him she’s waiting for a real answer. “It’s for Jinhyuk.” She knew by now how much Jinhyuk meant to Woobin and how everything the later did was for his only friend.
Nana nodded understandingly and reached to feel his bruised chin. “It’s okay.” He told her as he reached to push her hand away, but she was faster for once and moved to feel his injured lips, forcing the man into a state of stillness. His eyes darted down to her lips, and he looked back at her quickly hoping she did not notice but the look in her eyes told him otherwise. Maybe it was time for him to drop the act. His head inched closer and was greeted with a subtle smile on her soft lips that were soon pressing gently against his. The two pulled away and Nana got to see Woobin’s embarrassed face for the first time.
