NXT Unstoppable was WWE’s Live Event of the year (and then some) and here’s why

1. Despite not having Itami in the match, you open with your two most charismatic superstars tearing down the house from their entrances all the way to the final bell

2. There was a diva’s tag match to drive forward two rivalries while allowing Bayley and Charlotte showcase why they’re who to watch in NXT/WWE, while giving Dana and Emma more experience to grow on

3. They pulled off the modern day miracle of giving Baron Corbin a mildly interesting match

4. A wild tag match that gave Blake and Murphy some major heel heat while building even more support for The Realest Guys In the Ring (if that was even possible).

5. Diva’s WWE’s match of the year. Hands down, nothing that the WWE has offered in a long time comes close to the energy, the skill, the presence and execution that Becky and Sasha showed tonight.

6. Sami Zayn managed to not actually die at the hands of Kevin Owens

7. SAMOA JOE.

This event blew Payback out of the water, It spit on Extreme Rules like it was nothing but trash. It made the night after ‘Mania seem like a WWE Superstars taping. 

In my mind, the best of tonight stacks up against the best moments of WrestleMania. 

What Sasha and Becky did tonight confirmed my belief that the reason none of the NXT women are getting called up is because they would easily outshine and embarrass the WWE divas. I couldn’t give a shit about Smackdown or Raw, but I can’t wait to see NXT next week. And I know I’m not the only one. Hopefully the WWE can open it’s eyes to that soon.
