Self explanatory, wasn’t it? Never returning to that household was best for all of them. Keeping everything under wraps wasn’t just for his amusement, but for stinging the very image that society had so selfishly brought up in that godforsaken house. Though he had a feeling that wasn’t exactly what she meant.He made his choice to leave long ago for his own reasons, to not only escape that hell but to destroy what should have been from the beginning. But she was never really apart of that. This whole time, the only thing that had ever been on his mind was that sorry excuse of a Hero and his ruthless routines. That’s what he wouldn’t go back to. That was where he fell, as well as the rest of the family, prisoners to his demands. “You don’t have to worry about me anymore. I call the shots now.”

        The pale woman’s smile is gentle and her gaze motherly, yet there is a sadness in her doe brown eyes, one that she prays Rei doesn’t notice. Mothers should be with their children. Women should lead happy, fulfilling lives outside the confines of sterile walls. Still, she resolves that her thoughts remain hidden. The angelic heroine did not come to advise, although advice would be given if asked for; she came to listen and to comfort. She thought Rei might appreciate a friend. 

“It is no trouble,” she reassures. “Now, I’ll just pop into the nurses’ station and get that cup for you.” 

After a few moments, she returns and offers a still steaming mug of hot chocolate to the other. “You know, Ms. Todoroki, I truly am happy to be here. I’m one of Shoto’s teachers, you see, and, well, he spoke so fondly of you that I just had to drop by. I also thought that you would perhaps appreciate the extra company?”
