Took a long weekend off of work to relax before starting my new job; spent the whole time marathon-ing NY Med.
Spend time away from my job; sit at home and watch other people do it on tv.

So I was watching a medical show and a mother of 3 adults was in kidney failure and her son went behind her back to see if he was a match and he was so he rang her and said “mum, what does a kidney mean to you?” She honestly said “A kidney would mean life” so he told her “mum you gave me life and now I’m going to give you back yours” okay for one I cried it was so emotional! But then I though hey if that happened to my mum id give her a kidney! Then I realised how afraid I truly am of going for surgery. So I think I’d would her a kidney, I just couldn’t actually give her a kidney😭 Don’t know why I have this fear. And it terrifies me!
I guess I'll still watch it

Just finished a paper about the cons of teen pregnancy reality shows, watching NY Med, enjoying some hot chocolate, and waiting for my toe nail polish to dry before bed. *sigh*
Watching NY Med, and JESUS FUCKING SHIT, SO MUCH BLOOD.
So, one of my sisters said, "you need to watch NY Med, you'll LOVE it." Halfway through the first episode, and she was dead right, I do love it. I'm a sucker for a medical reality show. What I love less is the Red Lobster endless shrimp commercial Hulu keeps throwing at me (yes, I am watching on Hulu entirely illegally, whatevs). Endless shrimp is my worst nightmare.
Watching NY Med and there's a girl who got rhabdo from a shitty CrossFit box that never gave her on the ramp/intro training and had her WODing three days in a row with heavy KBS and lifting. This is why we have such a bad rep.
PS. Her CPK levels were 24,000... I think 0-135 is normal.
