2025… because the last walk of the year in the neighborhood needed to go by Le Louvre.

I’m not a huge fan of New Year celebration. The competition behind who had the best party on that particular night (vs any other night) has always drove me crazy.

Around 10:30ish I decided I needed to go on a little post dinner promenade around the neighborhood… I guess my neighborhood is larger than what most people think because I kept on walking along the Seine and ended up at the Louvre. Coming across people going to parties, family (mostly tourists) enjoying the city and the short walk ended up 3-4kms away from home.

I could have walked further but I wanted to be back home on time to ring the new year with the boys (daughter, the only social butterfly of the family it seems was celebrating in Britanny with a group of friends). Kisses were given and by 00:05 I was in bed already answering a few texts received from friends either already done celebrating (on the east of the world) or about to go celebrating (on the west side of the world).

Walking at night in Paris is one of my favorite things to do… the streets are less crowded and the city is still full of life. Watching all those people enjoying the city, lots of them being tourists, always make me realize how lucky I am to live here and being able to enjoy the city whenever I want.

Enjoy every moment. It doesn’t have to be all fireworks all the time

Stop chasing the elusive notion of what happiness looks like and don't overlook the little bliss we create for ourselves because by the time we realize that these were, in fact, moments of happiness it's too late and those moments are now memories.

The final boss of 2025 has been defeated! Time to loot the holiday chest and celebrate.

We wish you max-level feasts, legendary loot (presents!), and a perfectly balanced party (family) this Christmas. For 2026, we're wishing you insane XP gains, no server downtime, and nothing but rare drops.
