Thank you for the ‪#‎NYCBigBold‬ Voxbox!!:) I loved the mascara since it separated and lengthen my eyelashes. I didn't really see that much volume. I liked how the liquid eyeliner was in a pen form, but didn't really like the eyeliner since it was hard to create a thin and precise line.

So I received the #NYCBigBold vox box from #Influenster for testing purposes. It consisted of an NYC Big Bold Angel Lash mascara, as well as the NYC Big Bold & Prefise Felt Tip Liner. Sadly, I was disappointed. With all my might I couldn't get as much volume out of the mascara as I wanted, I am guessing because of the odd shape of the brush and the fact that it was a bristle brush, which my eyes lashes don't seem to agree with. Also due to, probably the brush but possible the formula, I had real issues with clumping with this mascara. The liner was pretty big and bold, but not precise. Even with the fine end of the marker, the tip was too stiff to get an accurate line, and as you can see below, it was nearly impossible to get close enough to the lash line. I almost went in and filled in the spots with my other liquid liner, but that felt like cheating. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing either of these items in the future. However, I have enjoyed other NYC Color products in the past, so I may give other products in this line a chance (after carefully studying the packaging).

NYC Big Bold Review

Hey guys! 

So today we’re going to talk about the Big Bold line from NYC. Specificaly the Big Bold & Precise liquid liner and the Angel lash mascara. So these were sent to me for review purposes from influenster in a box that looks like this. )

Influenster is a free program you can join up by messaging me for an invite link. You earn badges by answering surveys and reviewing the products you already use and love, and by connecting you social media profiles. Who knows...you might even get free boxes, gift cards, etc.

Overall, I wasn't impressed with the eyeliner, but the mascara was surprisingly good for the price point. The eyeliner retails at Walmart for around $3.50 so I’ll talk about that first.

Let me preface this by saying this eyeliner is not waterproof at all. At all. Like if its too humid outside it will smear, so if thats a dealbreaker for you you can just jump ship right now. The card describes it as "a 2-in-1 long wearing formula up to 10 hours"  but i highly doubt that. the tip is unlike any of the felt tip liners i have which is kinda awkward to get to use because it’s shaped like a chisel tip sharpie (also it smells a little like a sharpie so I wouldn't recommend this for sensitive eyes. Overall the color payoff is pretty good and after you get over the awkwardness of holding it, it goes on fairly easy. The staying power isn't great, and I haven't tried sealing it but maybe that'll help. It's a little easier to shape a wing with than a regular felt tip however I don't know if that one pro outweighs the cons. 6/10

The Angel Lash mascara was a bit different. The wand is shaped like this, big and full on the ends and skinnier in the middle. It's a natural fiber brush (A+ in my opinion, was never a fan of the Lashblast pastic wands) Although it's next to impossible to get really close to the inner corner and bottom lashes I really like this mascara. It's a very dry formula which I love. I've always loved subtle clumping mascaras. It's definitely more volumizing than lengthening, and my favorite way to use it is layered over my Maybelline Great Lash as it separates a bit better. Layering it on itself also works well. I got a bit of flakiness after about 10 hrs of wear but that didn't bother me much. For the price (about 4.50) you can't really get much better. 9/10

The mascara is definitely my favorite in this box, which was definitely one of my favorite Influenster boxes i've gotten thus far.

Influenster NYC VoxBox Review #NYCBigBold #Walmart

I recieved the NYC Big Bold Angel Lash Mascara and the NYC Big Bold & Precise Felt Tip Liner complimentary for review purposes in the Influenster NYC New York Color VoxBox.

I received this eyeliner complimentary in my NYC VoxBox to review, and I have very mixed feelings about it. I love the concept of the eyeliner tip, it does make a cat eye easier to achieve, and the formula is extremely black. On the other hand, it is not water resistant at all. I have allergies, and the moment my eyes started watering the eyeliner started to dissolve. Even though I blotted with a tissue and didn't rub my eyes, the eyeliner still got all over the place. Might be good for going over false lashes, or if you don't suffer from watery eyes.

I really liked the NYC Big Bold Angel Lash mascara. The formula is super black, and provides lots of length and some volume. Unfortunately, with the volume came lashes clumping together, so I looked like I had fewer lashes than  I really did. On the plus side, the formula is somewhat water resistant, so if your eyes water a little bit your macara won't go anywhere. I didn't have any problems with it flaking off, and only minimal smearing on the bottom lash line.
