NYCC 2018 Poster discrepancies

So, I've been looking at the NYCC 2018 poster a lot lately and I found a lot of... suspicious details.

First thing I noticed was believe it or not Curtis:

Curtis is the only one in the whole poster who isn't facing/walking forward with the others. He is just in a standing pose. He was added and they just used his character design picture.

Next thing I noticed was a bunch of creatures and characters we did not see at all at any point in the show:

Who are they, where did they come from and what is their story? No idea. Voltron never just includes random characters or creatures, they always include characters we've seen before. These characters were most likely in the scenes that were cut from Season 8.

Next we have this:

Where the hell are Rolo and N-7????

and who is Allura looking at?

well... I have a pretty good guess for that once, considering he was completely wiped from the show after his "death".

Anyway, these are some inconsistencies I noticed... I am going to talk about the poster again in the analysis tomorrow so... stay tuned for that ;))

About the NYCC poster

I saw some fellow Kallura / Plance fans losing it over Allura blushing while Lance stairs at her. But think guys!

Releasing something that would give away such an important S8 plot point (especially from our point of view) before the finale airs would be a really bad move. So I don’t think the scene means as much as some believe. Or if it does mean something, it could be something entirely different from what most are thinking.

Let’s look at Allura. She may be blushing, but people can blush for all kinds of reasons, mainly embarrassment. She’s also looking away and - although the quality makes it difficult to tell - I do believe she’s wearing an unhappy expression. Now let’s look at Lance. If this was a scene of him walking with his official girl, you’d think he’d be estatic! But he’s not. Instead he seems... a little down. He looks at Allura with a faint smile while making no effort to engage with her physically as one might do with their romantic partner (such as holding hands.)

I think this just might be another moment of Allura rebuffing Lance. Yes she’s blushing, and maybe she’s a bit enticed by the idea of being with him, but she rebuffs him none the less... maybe because she knows they both have other people they’re meant to be with. And Lance, with his soft smile and unintrusive body language... is letting her go.

Just another take in all this. Stay positive folks!

(And about Lance standing close to Allura in the promo shot with their uniforms, well... when hasn’t he stuck to her like glue? We’ve got 13 episodes. If you’re still worried, just remember how quickly Lotura came and went!)
