Just the dreamiest aquamarine ring you ever did see.
She's Georgian, circa 1830, and features one aqua between two pink sapphires. Don't miss the delicate cannetile work on the side, either! Such a beauty!

What is micromosaic jewelry?
Popular in 19th & 19th century Italy and often seen in Grand Tour souvenir pieces, micromosaics feature designs made from hundreds of tiny glass fragments called tesserae.
The colorful tesserae are assembled to form intricate images, some so detailed that they look like paintings from further away. The tinier the tesserae, the more precise the design and the more valuable the micromosaic.
This micromosaic jewel was at Sandy Jacobs Antiques booth during NYCJAOS.
How mind-blowing is this antique insect timepiece jewel from Ishy Antiques??
It's the details of the underside and the way the wings pop open that really get me.
Have you seen Ides Fine Jewels’ spectacular snakes yet?
These serpentine beauties are exquisitely detailed & shining with marvelously moody gems like green sapphire, gray spinel, and black diamonds.

A moment of beauty, courtesy of this 19th century Italian floral jewel.
Look at those luscious old cut emeralds! I love their uneven shapes and the way their deep green plays off of the rubies in the flower petals and the creamy pearl at the center of it all.

Worthy of a fairy queen, this antique tiara features elaborate diamond flowers and leaves set en tremblant.
That means the flowers are mounted on tiny springs that move gently when the piece is worn, creating the effect of a soft breeze though the diamond blooms.
