hey tumblr insect lovers!

I am currently sitting with a ladybug (nyckelpiga) right on my kitchen table infront of me.

It's winter time time in Sweden (though dreadfully snowless), and I don't know how it got in, and first I didn't know if it was alive.

Well I gently prodded it with my finger, and yes it's alive, even walked around a little.

Now I'm wondering what to do for it so i can ensure it survives?

I tried searching online, and it says they hibernate in winter, and eat mostly lice but also some species may also eat pollen, kvalster (I don't know the English word for this) and mold. (and that they also might cannibalize eachother if times are tough as a last way out. and hey I get it. would.)

I couldn't find any clear answers on what I should do as it has visited me in winter.

They are threatened as a species here and I want to do the best I can for it. But I also have like, no money to get stuff for it, so it would have to be total DIY.

Does anyone have any tips or thoughts?? I wanna help this little creature out the best I can! okay here's photos of my new friend.

Also, I feel so lucky and happy that it came to me. In parts of swedish culture, it is said that having a ladybug land or appear close to you, alive and at rest, is a sign of incoming luck and good things.

That felt very nice to receive right now.
