The Pitcher This 12x12” oil painting is part of my new direction in cinematic composition. The idea is to present still life objects in a similar manner to the way people are depicted in movies. There are things being cut off on the sides and cropped out. It gives the idea that there is life beyond the edges of the canvas. A more common composition for still life is to have all the objects placed in the middle. They are presented as a self contained world.
