Aspiring female tech entrepreneurs join NYITSOM and SoECS Students to discuss the challenge of Product/Venture Development in the local market. These meetings provide NYIT students with real-world case studies for designing, developing, and launching a product into the marketplace.
SOMCES Director D.Bernard Webster represented NYIT at the Founders RoadMap to Funding Forum hosted by Zane Venture Fund. He joined the panel with representatives for the NYC Department of Small Business Services Commissioner and Venture Capital space to discuss a range of topics including diversity and inclusion in tech along with product development strategies for emerging tech startups.
The SOMCES co-sponsored the “Smart Hustle” marketing conference with NYIT alum Ramon Ray. Keynote speaker was a world-renowned marketer and author Seth Godin. The event was attended by more than 200 local small business owners and students for the SOM and SoECS.
The SOM-CES Partnered with the CoECS Entrepreneurship Technology Innovation Center (ETIC) to host a joint information session for Management and Engineering students seeking business coaching, strategy and product development support on the Manhattan Campus.
The goal was to widen student awareness of the resources available across both campuses to foster their innovation of new products or businesses.
