You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to but what’s wrong with the Magnus Chase series? I’ve only reason three books buts it’s been really good so far
Well, nothing is explicitely wrong with this series in particular, at least not to my knowledge. Because I don’t have any knowledge on them.
I’m just not gonna touch any of Riordan’s works past Heroes of Olympus. A “fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, fool me five fucking times in a row and I quit” kind of situation, if you will.
I invested not just the money but also the years of waiting for a new book and then reading it… five times in a row. And I have my limits. HoO was too much a disappointment that not just didn’t get better but actively got worse, so I do have better things to invest my time in than giving his writing another chance.
That’s not to say others can’t enjoy that series, it just means that I’ve been disappointed for too long and too often to even give this a chance to also disappoint me. Second and third chances are one thing, fifth chances however… You gotta draw the line somewhere for yourself, you know.
If it doesn’t make you happy, quit. Not worth the time or money or the emotional price you pay when you get invested in something to then have it crush your expectations. ^^

Light brown with odd blue highlights. I dyed my hair blue about two summers ago and there’s still tints to it. I’m thinking of maybe dying it red.

Hahahaha I finally got around to actually following you on Tumblr after weeks of putting it off because I don't use the site as much as I should (?). But I'm currently avoiding math homework so I'll take anything above doing that. Every day I ask myself why I decided to take a college class in fricking high school, the work load is so big. At least I have Devil Town to keep me afloat. Though it takes me a bit, every time I get to read a new chapter I'm reminded yet again why I decided to stick to it from the start and actually leave comments. This is quickly turning into the length of said comments so imma end it with saying I love how you can tell how sweet you are based off your post and answers to everything. I feel like you're a nice person to be around!
