hmm complicated

on one hand as light reading I read it in one night and cried, this was more than a year ago I think, but on the other there’s the whole “cishet white loosely christian couple reclaim the anne frank house ~for love~” business; i have jewish heritage and though i’m not religous i find that to be somewhat offensive though i think it was more ignorance than anything else. all in all it’s not his most problematic book but on a superficial level i enjoyed it
