Dragets Kanal, Double IPA from Nynäshamns Ångbryggeri in Sweden. Bought this one mainly because it’s from Sweden and I want to support local breweries =) The decals are boring and I would normally dismiss a beer looking like this, but I’m happy I did not. It is a nice beer! Taste from orange and blood grape, although very strong.. It’s a DIPA i know but 8.5% alc sits heavy for something to drink during the week.

The brewery pride itself with only having not pasteurised beers and another fun fact is that they are mainly named from landmarks. So if you visit their web you can find links to maps from where the beer is inspired ^^

The 90 meter long cargo ship Kertu ran aground off off Rural Area, south of Nynashamn, Sweden.  The Kertu had run hard aground in severe weather with waves reaching 3 to 4 meters high. The cargo ship sustained significant hull damage.  Both the fuel tank and cargo hold suffered water ingress.  An unreported amount of fuel oil spilled out into the sea.

The crew notified authorities that the vessel was in distress and required assistance.  The Swedish Coast Guard dispatched several vessels to the scene and launched recovery operations.  The crew was able to transfer fuel oil from the damaged from the damaged tank into another undamaged tank.  The Kertu was refloated, but it was found that the water ingress was more than the vessel’s pump could manage.  Seven of the nine crew on the Kertu were evacuated safely by the Coast Guard while the remaining crew attempted to bring the flooding under control.

Flooding continued in the Kertu with the holds nearly 1/2 filled with water and the vessel began to list over to starboard. The Swedish Coast Guard was able to deliver additional pumps and help aid the remaining crew to get them running.  With in a short time, the pumps brought the flooding under control.  A pilot was brought on board and the vessel proceeded to Oxelösund.  No reports of injuries.  An investigation was launched by authorities.  Reports state the crew made a navigational error and steered the Kertu aground.

przepiękne szkierowe wybrzeże przy podejściu do Nynäshamn

Miasto latem prezentowało się świetnie. Bardzo kameralne i spokojne a także z przepięknymi widokami i trasami rowerowymi. Po zwiedzeniu miasta moje zdanie na temat Szwecji było bardzo pozytywne, jedynym zastrzeżeniem była cena alkoholu co jest charakterystyczne dla całego kraju ze względu na zwalczanie alkoholizmu.

Ceny troszkę wyższe niż w Polsce, jednak zdarzały się artykuły, które można było nabyć taniej niż u nas.

Wracając do krajobrazu, jest skalisty, pełen iglaków w różnej postaci od karłowatych drzewek ledwo trzymających się skał po ogromne sosny dzięki to którym IKEA opanowała świat :)

Domy bardzo charakterystyczne, cechują je czerwone ściany, które to miały podkreślić prestiż domostwa. Trzeba jednak przyznać, że mało kiedy spotkałem przepiękne, pełne przepychu domy. Szwedzi zdecydowanie stawiają bardziej na praktyczność mieszkania i jego użytkowość oraz kochają piękne samochody.

Moja ocena końcowa miasta jako atrakcji turystycznej: 8/10
